Call from an electric rate scammer (Mr Waters) that displayed as 800-340-1389 who asked to be called back at this number.  Both numbers BLOCKED    The name of the alleged company was never mentioned.

Sounded like a typical scam artist. Said this is mr. (mumbled) i am calling about your electric acct (?) call this no. (609) 201 0121   i have a copy of your electric statement.   Then read a series of bogus no's.  Obviously any sane person knows a legit' call would be from their elec. Co. Only would not say 'i have your statement' !  Be aware!  Feel sorry for those that are weak or old + may fall for this.

Mr. Waters I am highly insulted how lame your call was. I work for the electric company so I am doubly insulted!

SCAM:. I received a call from 609-201-0121 today, from Mr. Waters, who said exactly, as the others mentioned. To call him back REF # E 108, the guy who answered said, he stepped out and asked twice how I was doing, after realizing he asked me twice. Then asked me to have my statement, I told him, they were calling me, they should have my information. He got tongue tied. I could hear the many scammers in the background, I told him, I'm reporting them and he should seek a job worthy of honor.

Electric bill

Received a voicemail from 800-340-1389 and voicemail gave 609-201-0121 as a call back number. Voicemail asked for me to have a copy of my electric bill and gave a bogus reference number. Since my electric carrier doesn't have my cell number I did not call the scammer back. Instead I googled the numbers and found this site. Both numbers are now blocked!

Received a message from this number stating "This is Mr. Waters, I'm calling in regards to the supply portion on your electric account.  Make sure to give me a call back at 609-201-0121 and have a copy of your electric bill with you." Gave a phony reference number. This sounds like a scam and nothing like the real messages I have gotten from my actual electric company.

Just received a message much like the same, concerning electric bill . Give Mr walters a call back.  Total scam

They are having a picnic ringing my telephone number every fifteen minutes.  Their timing is so incredibly accurate I could set my watch by their calling schedule.

The number wasn't disconnected when I called but it did say the conversation was being recorded. Once I went through all the prompts, I got someone called Tyler Allen, employee number 23782 who didn't know anything about me, where I was from, etc., but was sure he could save me some money on my power bill.  When I mentioned I that I wanted to see evidence that they had a license to do business in the state (since they were collecting revenues from state residents), the call abruptly ended.  Check out these Better Business Bureau complaints:  https://www.bbb.org/houston/business-reviews/ ... -and-complaints  (If you do a Google search, there are even more negative comments).

Ditto same message from "Mr. Waters" calling in reference to my supply portion of my electric bill.

Wow, we got the same call from Mr. Waters today @ 1:10 PM. Prior to his call we had rec'd multiple calls Tues 1/17/2017 from some guy who didn't give his name. I picked up one of the calls and he asked me to read info from my public service bill. I could hear a lot of people in the background, like a call center. I said I don't have it at this moment but if you give me your number I'll call you back. He gave me the phone number of the American Fence Company, obviously not his. Kept calling on Tues but nobody picked up his call. Then yesterday we were expecting a call from a friend and picked up the phone. It was the same guy. He said "Remeber me? Can I have that info now? I said I called public service and they told me not to give you any info from my bill and hung up. The guy had an Indian accent. So today, since he was unsuccessful in duping us, we got the call from Mr. Waters. These creeps are persistent.

I just got the call from Mr. Waters - he left a voice mail with the same exact message on the other posts.

Same as everyone else posting. Got a call from the 800 number, message from Mr. Waters. Asked me to call back the 609 number. Googled the number just to see if anything would come up, though I knew it was a scam already. Hope people don't fall for this crap.

Mr. Waters called about my WATER BILL and to have my statement ready . .. . . HA! HA! HA!  I'm on well water!

Called at 2:30 PM Eastern time today and left message "This is Mr Waters. I am calling in regards to the supply portion on your electric account. Be sure to give me a call back at (609) 201-0121 and have a copy of your electric statement with you to review this matter.  Uh, you're reference ID is E-0189".

Complete bogus scammer.  The supply portion of our bill is $0, BTW, as we have solar panels.  Heh.

Same as above- Mr. Waters electric supply bill....I live in NYC, it is Coned, coned would call if there was an actual issue!!!
