The person that called my office was rude and disrespectful.  He would not give me his supervisor or remove us from their calling list.  He threatened to bill me personally for of $600 because I would not let him speak with the owner of the company.

Very aggressive, pushy  person with very thick foreign accent.  Very difficult to understand.  Wanted to confirm address/phone so he could discontinue billing for online advertising we had "been receiving since 2010."  Totally fabricated story.  I refused to give him the address.  So he said the contract would automatically renew.  I asked him the address he had for us, he finally gave me the address and it was completely wrong.  I told him that was not our address, but did not give him correct one.  He got angry and tried to talk over me and bully me into thinking I had to give him information to stop from being billed.  Told him he was lying and I didn't have time for him.  He hung up on me.

They just called me and told me I owed them for 2 years worth of advertising! lol

Just got the same story everyone above got. Then the crazy lady hung up on me. So me being pissed called back to get a recording that won't take any messages. Gotta love folks trying to con small business owners.

I received two or three calls, The last call the male asked for the previous owner of my phone#. When I explained that person has not had this number for 9 years,they hung up.

Similar story as above, a lady speaking english said I had unpaid advertising costs.  She sounded unprofessional, pretty easy to tell it was a scam.  I'd like to show her the back of my hand.

Just keep track of your expenses etc and nobody will scam you.

I am getting really tired of these companies!  We are keeping a file of just these "advertising" scammer because they are so clever to change their name slightly and call again!  Really, scamming a church . . . . Someone else said it, keep good records and NEVER accept a verbal contract.

Make them STOP!! We get calls nearly every day. They always ask for the owner, of which I am, but do not tell them until I have asked THEM over and over again, "What is this regarding?" They ALWAYS hang up

this male stated I owed $ 800.00 for 2 years of advertisement online, would not give me much info about his company.  He told me I was rude.  He sid he did'nt need a contract to make his bill legal.  I finally hung up on him.

I received a call from a guy who said his name was Brian Howard. He said that he worked for National Business Advertising, and said that I owed a little over $800 for advertisement that was started in 2011. I asked him what month and he said he didn't know. Then he said that it probably started in June or July. I told him That I was not paying and he said that I would continue getting billed and cannot cancel the advertisement until I paid the bill. What worries me is that he or his company will report me to the credit bureau for something that I didn't ask for.

Just received a call from these people, exactly the same story as everyone else.  I was told to hold on for the representative to give me a confirmation number to cancel the service and if I hung up we would be automatically renewed.  Was texting my boss while on hold as she is the one who would set up anything of that nature, her first thought was SCAM.  When the representative came on the line, I told her we knew nothing of this "account", never heard of them before, the address they had listed for us was incorrect (didn't tell them that, though) and that we weren't paying them a DIME.  In the middle of my tirade, they hung up.

same as all above just turned over to a.g. office state of alabama,its a scam tony lan called me said badge#4574 said we took out 2011 up for renewal was try to get credit card for$ 829.99

Received call from National Business Advertising. Woman on phone said she was calling to confirm my cancellation order for company listing. She asked if I had a pen to take down the confirmation # and that I would need to pay my bill of $800+ for cancellation to take effect. She spoke rapid fire and when I tried to interrupt her, she hung up. I have never heard of this outfit and I certaininly did not sign up for some business listing service.

Our business is also having problems: this is our ongoing story..Received phone call from Business Directory on 4/9/2013: He asked for Sandra I said she no longer works for company, then he gave me an attitude about how he wants to cancel our business service and I tried to explain to him that we do not have or need any service for directory and he said that is what I’m calling about.  So then I kept asking him how I could help him since we are going around in circles and he said you didn’t ask me how you could help me he said you asked the name of the company.  I then realized he was being hostel for no reason so I then asked him again how can I help him he just said he will call back and then hung up.  However he proceeds to call back 3 or 4times and just randomly hang up.
Then on 4/10/13 he calls back again asking for Sandra (same guy, cause he even said he called yesterday) anyways I told him that she doesn’t work here and asked how I could help him, he then got pissy so I asked him what his problem was and he said I had the problem and I then hung up and then called me back and said I hung up, I said I didn’t hang up so maybe the call just accidentally got disconnected but he was not believing  that so I said we don’t need any service but then  it was like he lost his mind and just kept going in circles so I finally said why don’t I get an owner for you and then he just went even more in circles and hostel verbally to me so I put him on hold.  When Cheryl spoke with him she was having the same problem.  Then when she was done talking with him about 3 minutes later the phone rings, yep him again!  He only says this to me> You can tell your boss I am not cancelling her service I am adding 2 more years onto it and she will have to pay!!! Then he hangs up! Number called from 609-207-7539 but when I call the number, it just goes straight to voicemail and has no room for message.

These people call me periodicly and ask for an employee that does not work here anymore.  They then ask to talk to a manager or owner.  I ask them, what is this in reguards to?  They tell me for some online advertising thing that someone authorized and they have it on a recording.  I eventually tell them that no one authorized anything and is not going to authorize anything and I am not going to pay you anything and I hang up.

I received a call from this number out of nowhere. The woman kept stammering and asking for the owner of the company. When I asked if I could take a message, she began stuttering and stammering some more and was talking some nonsense about me renewing my web listing with their company (one that I've never heard of or have not done business with), and would I like to renew or cancel. When I asked her to spit it out and get around to asking what her business was, exactly, she accused me of being rude! I assured her that she hadn't even began to see rude yet. I hung up on this person. They are obviously some low-grade, no load telemarketers that need a lot of practice. I don't know what kind of B.S. that they're peddling, but I'm sure it's something that we can all live without.

That's it! National Business Advertising. Never heard of them. Never did business with them. Am never going to give them a thin dime. Where do these people come from? I guess that its somewhat refreshing to see that I'm not the only one who gets these idiotic calls. Do these people think that we're morons??

I Keep getting calls from a Harassing telemarketer that will not provide contact info about their company

"Brian" called and knew my name.  When I asked him for his company's name, there was a long delay and he hung up.

Is there a way to add "SCAM" to the "Call Type" menu?  I've asked the FCC to add this to their list also.
