   REALLY?!!! Do you actually READ any of the information in the tons of pages of reports here on 800Notes? You NEVER call these callers back!!  EVER!!!  They can charge you ANY AMOUNT they want to for your return call and YOU can't dispute it!! YOU just made the dumbest mistake ever!  AND, .... They now have your call-back information to use against you for future calls because YOU just verified your phone # as active and marketable!!
   If you don't recognize the caller or number, and they didn't leave a message, just add them to your blocked calls list and be done with them.
   Just knowing that these callers have called ALL these Other people before they called us (they got our FAX line) lets the rest of us know they are fishing for a SUCKER to answer or call them back. Why don't YOU call them back for the rest of us and let us know what you find out? Then they can give out YOUR phone #  instead of ours to all their crooked, scamming, harassing friends.

Caller ID shows us as CPUSA, which is Communist Party USA, but we all know that it is easy to spoof caller ID info. Contrary to Moonshine Maker's post, you can call back using *67 and not pass along your caller id info if you so desire.

That doesn't always work since information is transmitted two different ways.  Caller ID is one way, but there is also ANI.

Moonshine Maker is not the sharpest knife in the draw... total BS on his claim!!

MM has is off on a few points, but in general he has the right idea.  Don't call back unknown numbers.  It is sound advice.

They already know who you are, where and what your number is, THEY CALLED YOU.  When you call them, they can't bill you, that's a rumor frorm the 80's.  Afraid they'll get the info they ALREADY have?  Bet you're afraid of your shadow, too.  What are they going to de at the absolute worst?  Ask you personal questions you can either not answer, or just lie about.  Dummy.  People like you are why I like this site, I can get hours of entertainment!

When they failed to leave a message they gave all the message you need. Call them back? That's insane. Better to put your life savings in a pile and set it on fire. At least then you'd get light and warmth out of it.

Missy and Moonshine have it right; Do not pick up, do not talk, do not listen, do not press 1, NEVER-NEVER-NEVER call back(!!!), and put the # in your call blocker. Getting you on the phone is their #1 job. Calling them back is doing their job for them. That's insane.

This in reference to Moonshine Maker's post. As far as being charged by whoever the caller is, there's nothing to indicate they could charge you anything. As for calling them back, I block my number & call back just to see who it is. That's just what I did and got this recording "Hello, none of our representatives are available right now. If you received a call from this number we should contact you within the next day. If you believe you received this call by error please press "5" to be added to our DO NOT CALL list". RIGHT!!!

That's exactly what I suggested in my post above. They can "spoof" but we can "BLOCK"...

Called my cell was a recorded message on extended car warrenty

They called about the extended warranty, I acted like I was interested and they gave me another number to call back.  Ive been calling them back on this number and they answer differently each time even though its the same person. Total scam. I suggest calling and wasting their time. 866-327-6685
