- Burlco48| 2 repliesThe FCC no longer takes complaints regarding the phone scammers who robodial your number who neither leave any message nor talk. Worse yet, some states such as NJ, no longer take complaints about DNC violations and the robo-rectums know that thus our elected legislators have given them a blessing to continue annoying us. So, to make it even worse, the phone provider profits by providing service to the scammers and won’t shut them down as it would be lost income for that phone provider who also know the robo-terrorists are out there just by monitoring the bandwidth they utilize. And the phone provider’s even make additional money (via charges for opening new services) by switching the roboterrorists outgoing lines so a complaint about any particular number would be meaningless once the roboscum feel it’s time to run and hide once more. Folks, it’s high time to fight back – contact your phone service provider and request to make your number a toll number for incoming calls from any “Out of the Area”, 800, 844, 866 or 888 numbers, so when robocallers attack your privacy then they must pay you for your valuable time. Contact your legislators to stop the robocallers – send them a complaint every time you get a call. Tell them to stop the scumbags or you will elect someone who will! And why not sue the phone providers for their inaction to pull the plug on these phone terrorists as well? A fantastic class action suit awaits a great attorney team on this one, because it appears that neither Federal nor State authorities give a damn to protect us and openly permit the phone companies to continually profit from your life being interrupted. I use a Panasonic KX-TG6844 phone that can block 250 numbers. The cost of $111 pays for itself if you use Verizon’s Call Intercept service (a $9.99 per month ransom plus federal and local taxes) in a year and you can drop the Verizon intercept service. BTW, recent news articles (early July 2015) indicate Verizon is going to screw us more during their attempt to deregulate communications services and fees. And for paybacks – identify the roboscum and supply their mailing address to every junk mailing firm possible as there are lots of postcards in magazines.
- Caller: Unknown roborectums
- Neil Lehavy replies to Burlco48| 1 replyI called my legislators office. I'll see what is going to happen.
- Burlco48I just learned that we have another tool to fight back - the Consumers Union (Consumer Reports) site www.EndRobocalls.org and sign their petition to pressure the phone companies and lobby the government. It won’t cost you a cent! BTW, recent news articles (early July 2015) indicate Verizon is going to screw us more during their attempt to deregulate communications services and fees. - Bezo D Klown609-212-9900 is NOT a current or valid number. Some AZZholes are using software to fool your TELCO's switching center to think that its coming from 212-9900. Number spoofing is the name of the game; welcome to the 21st Century New age of communication..../sarc

- BeaI don't answer callers I don't know. This number was on my caller id asV72915030700027, Phone # 6092129900. Left no message.
- pdsame here, 609-212-9900, then a whole bunch of no's on top, with a V in the front of the no's.
- Scared609-212-9900 has been calling my landline for over 2 months day and night. Sometimes, they leave a message Hello, Hello and it sounds like water in the background. This week, one night a woman's voice called out my mother's name saying is this you, ____________. The next night it sounded like someone from the Phillipines or overseas called and called out my mothers full name and stated my home address. I called Verizon today and they said I could block the call and gave me a number but I think the last time I used this number to block it did not work. Verizon said they did not have any other blocking service I could provide but news articles this week mentioned Verizon, AT&T and others were coming out with blocking services. Verizon did not know of any other type of service that they offer.
This is getting pretty scarey and if it continues, I will have to call my local Police. - BOBReceived unsolicited call. Criminals looking for gullible victims. Caution, 609-212-9900 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers.
- Roe replies to KikiYou may want to consider a call blocker device, google them and there are several from which to choose. I purchased one last year, it blocks up to 1,200 numbers and area codes and once blocked, it no longer rings at all in my home, callers are cut off immediately. Some phones have blocking capabilities or your service provider may be able to block numbers, however, there may be a fee.
I still file complaints, whether it is a spoofed number or not, so they can be aware that this is an increasing problem and hopefully they will be able to combat the problem. - BOBReceived unsolicited call. - annoyedcalled my verizon landline today.. i answered but noone on the other line; 3rd day in a row similar NJ number and same thing happens
- Irene replies to Kiki| 1 replyThe gov hasn't accomplished one thing yet with registering your number on the National Do Not Call list! I've registered my cell & landline numbers, still get the calls & when I made a written complaint to the FCC it took about 30 months for an answer. When they finally answered the letter it said after an investigation they couldn't find anything. So all the government did was create more jobs with big salaries & hurt the taxpayers!
