This is a new one.  Looks like a # you might know, so you might be tempted to answer it, but does come in as "unknown name", but so do some cell phones.  Didn't answer it, and they left no message.  Truly tired of unwanted phone calls -- what happened to the "do not call list"?

Just got the same thing.  Local area code but no name and no message.

wanted to talk to the person he handles the electric bill.  talked about receiving something in the mail...

It's Palmco.  They're trying to get you to switch energy suppliers and claim that they can save you money on your electricity.  It's legit but I rather see it in writing which it isn't.  I don't do business with people who call me and have the word UNKNOWN on my caller ID.  They've called me 6 times.

I got a telephone call in which the caller, who sounded drunk, and who didn't ask for me by name, asking instead to speak to the person who pays the electric bill.  He claimed he could save me money on my electric bill.  He asked for my account number, which I refused to give.  I told him my bills are handled through withdrawl from my checking account, so I had no bill.  Instead, I told him to send me any literature he might have before I make a decision.  Of course, he hung up.

Have had 3-4  calls . No one answer when you pick up

Just got a call from this company saying they wanted to talk to us about our electric bill. When we told them take us off your list the guy got really nasty and with an attitude said " Whatever, Joe (not my husband's real name, just using it here)" It is a big scam to get your information. How they got my husband's name, I have no idea. It's not listed in the phone book or anywhere you'd think they'd get it from.

They actually left a message to call about my "energy account" When I called back they had the wrong name and address in their system, but insisted if I gave them an account number they would have it right. I refused and he got nasty. I told him I would do nothing over the phone and was instead called "ignorant and uneducated" after which I promptly hung up. I would never do business this way!

I am in the same boat as everyone else here, the callers are really rude and hang up when you ask to have your number removed.

Please do everyone a favor. Log a complaint against them if you are part of the Do Not Call List. They will face steep fines if enough of us do. I have already logged two, and I will continue to as long as they call. Lets make them think twice before randomly dialing whoever they want.

I received a very rude call from this number. A woman wanted to speak to the person who handles the electric bill. She basically yelled at me when I asked her why she was asking. I told her to put us on their do-not-call list.

How do you log a complaint against them?

Just had a call from my father-in-law who probably gave these [***] too much of his personal information and now we are all freaking out.  Tried to call the related 1877-399-3129 number he was given (as well as this one) and was just put immediately on hold for 15 minutes, hung up after not getting anywhere.

Now we are concerned for his financial safety and moving forward with whatever steps we can take to stop any possible fraud.

The companies name is PALMco. I received a call from them last week and signed up for their services. I HATE telemarketing as well but this is actually legit. The company offers alternative energy solutions. I did all of my research, and called my utility company. My utility Atlantic City Electric says i will have the same bill from them, but it will have PALMco's name under energy supply. The electric is measured in KWH, ACE is at 12 cents PALMco is at 9 cents. THis is a no brainer, we all should be more open minded. THis is not a scam everyone!!!!! Look right on your utility bill it says the information right on the bill!

As a NJ resident you have the right to choose your supplier for your energy.  But do your research.  Some third party providers give you an 'all in' rate, which includes all the taxes and fees that are associated with the cost of energy, and some don't. What may seem like a great rate, may not be once you factor in taxes. If they don't include the taxes and fees in their price, you may be paying more to them then you would to ACE.

not a scam. Do your research properly  before making posts about new companies in such a rough economy.

This is not fraud and you have nothing to worry about. Palmco energy is only a licensed supplier through the NJ, OH, PA, and CT public utilities commission to supply natural gas and electricity to retail users. Palmco has been in the energy industry longer then most of us have been alive. Palmco has the ability to save you hundreds of dollars on an annual basis on your energy bills

They even pay your salary.  

Telemarketing is evil.  Calling anyone on the federal Do Not Call list is a crime.  Your legitimate employer is engaging in criminal acts.  I hope they get hit with a huge fine.

I can tell that your one of the people that work for them, I just received the same call but now its in Pennsylvania a 267 number.  267 numbers are usually cell phone numbers, and while he asked me to give him the information on my PECO bill, and that he would hold, I conveniently Googled  the company and found this thread. When I told him that they are scams he was offended, he wasn't rude but he is not getting any of my information!!
