sonohuey24 Jul 2007- Do you know the address for these people? We were assigned a number for our business and these fools are very rude when we tell them it is now a business. Today they called my wife a liar. I understand the only way I can get them to stop calling is to write a letter demanding they cease all calls immediately since the debtor no longer has this telephone number.Good luck to you all.
- azngrl25 Aug 2007very rude people. threatened to call sheriff out. threatened to call every 5 minutes to get you on phone. says they don't work on saturdays for their health, but obviously do. 3 people I yelled at: eric, angela hartman?, charlotte.
- Tell them you will be recording their conversations. They do not like to be recorded.
Be sure you do this at the very moment the receptionist answers the phone, and when the so called "legal assistant" answers. They will then hang up. Unscrupulous "legal assistants" who don't know the law don't like their conversations recorded.

- This is what i do: when the caller ID gives a different area code than my area code, I answer the phone. When they ask for Boo, I say, "I'm sorry, you got the wrong number." They usually ask 'is this (insert your phone number here)'. Then I say simply, 'yes.' Then they ask, 'but Boo Radley doesn't live there?' And I say, 'no.' And they say, 'sorry.' And hang up.
Sometimes though, when it is not my area code, I just answer, and when they ask for Boo Radley, I say, 'sorry, you have the wrong number', and then I hang up the phone without waiting for any further questions/comments.
No way am I going to get my blood pressure up over their calls. They can' t talk crap to you if you hang up the phone. Yay!
- poohbear30 Aug 2007Called at 9;00PM eatern time a Jull Smith for attorney Lawrence Heckler under the law firm Account Portfolio gave a reference number and an 800 number.
Was nice until she found out that I was not there to accept a call.- Hey, I have been calls from these people the same number & they called my job today & I know for a fact I don't owe anything b/c I just bought a house. When I asked them to send me proof they told me I had to pay my debt first then they would send me the paperwork sounds crazy. How did you get rid of them or what did you do? Thanks in advance for any help.

- Horrified Lady26 Sep 2007I just got a call from LARRY DAVIS! He was so unbelieveably verbally abusive, I am completely rattled! I don't owe anyone any money, I actually just pulled my credit report last week and so I grabbed it while I was on the phone with him and tried to tell him that and he just WENT OFF. I asked him for pertinent information about the "supposed debt" I owed (acct number, the amount etc.) and he NEVER even gave it to me, then I was even more confused, so I just told him that if I ACTUALLY OWED money a legitimate company would have send me a damn letter making me aware of it and requiring I respond with in a certian time line; a letter they are required to give you before a debt goes to collections, and hits your credit. After many minutes of trying to get the info, and repeated failure due to his lack of composure, I just laughed and said "Riiight I don't know WTF this is but if I REALLY OWED your Dumb A**ES you'd have sent me a summons to court! What idiots! No way in hell they are lawyers in my opinion, and if they are, man they are the most ignorant ones I've ever heard in my life! Scary.
- You are so right. If they were a legitimate company or law office, they would have sent you many letters by now with a copy of whatever you owe them for. Years ago I rec'd a similar call from another company/law office and I told them that I refused to speak to them and that everything must be in writing. I also requested their attorney bar number and whated to know what state they were from - they would not provide this to me over the phone. The idiot actually asked me for my address. I told him I thought you had this information. Here it is 5 years later and I have never rec'd a thing, nothing even on my credit report.
Serious scammers!!!! I guess they are desperate if they were screaming at you.
- KW9 Oct 2007Frank White from Attorney Office of Lawrence Heckler called my parent's phone number and left a message for me stating he needed to speak with me immediately. I have no idea what this is about and when I looked up this telephone number, I saw all of the calls above. He left a Reference #, but I have not done anything wrong and can't think of anyone I owe money to. This appears to be a scam so I do not plan on calling him back.
