Also got $150 charge showing up out of my bank account. Frustrating

Unbelievable me too they hit my bank acct. & my bank just issued me a new card/account to prevent this.

Yeah I just found the same charge, 150$, plus a 1$ iTunes charge, and I never used iTunes. The fraud people at the bank said they use iTunes to check the card. The question is did you buy anything online recently? I bought a hard-drive and a monitor online, using my card, from what seemed like reputable companies, perhaps they got it somewhere else. My bank is refunding my money no prob.

Same here, 150 to TOEFL and 1 to iTunes, and a few others that got blocked.  I bet we all have something in common, restaurant, online store, etc.  Just a few guesses:

Found I was charged twice in the amount of $175 (total of $350!) this morning. Had to go to my credit union to dispute the charges and get a new account number. Weird, since I haven't made any online purchases in almost a month, and that was from Amazon and Paypal sites.

I did call TOEFL and spoke to a csr who stated they would open a trouble ticket and get the fraud charges hopefully reversed within 7 days.

Is this even a legit company? Who's the one that hacked into their system and is charging our cards with their name in information?

My banking institution NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION called me for a 175 dollar transaction. FRAUD! Who are these [***] I'll give them the business end of my shotgun after I cut their balls off. Anyways I have a new card now. The charge code on my account was

which is what I googled to get here. God bless Nay Federal Credit Union. Seriously, switch over.

Were you able to ever get those charges reversed?   I got hit 4 times for $175.00 and one for $210.00 and one for $17.00.   Who are these people?

I haven't recieved a call from these people but from the info that everyone has provided. This number is for the Educational Testing Service.
You know the same people who supply the SAT test. Toefl is a test that they provide, it stands for (Test Of English as a Foreign Language).

I just got hit with $175 charge from ETS TOEFL 609-771-7100.. Which is believable to me.. I graduated college already and I was born in the USof A meaning I am CITIZEN and english is not my second or foreign language.. Thank goodness i had money in my account otherwise this couldve spiraled to unlimited overdraft fees.. MY bank is currently disputing this as a fraudulent charge. Hopefully this is stopped because I almost didnt even notice it because I shop so much. I wonder how many people didnt notice this and paid for a fraudulent charge.

I got charges of $210, $175, $175 AND $175!! I'm going to my bank then calling the police. Someone need to go to prison!

No calls just charges on my bank account... on 8-9, 8-10, 8-13 and 8-16 2010.

I have purchased a lot via Paypla in the last month. I have zero credit cards, two debit cards and pay cash for everythign else. I've taken no tests and speak no foreign languages. That what this company supposedly test for. I bet they "test" your account to see if you will catch it. I have $48k in my bank account and rarely check it. F'ing amazing!!

As it turns out, someone (or several people) from Nigeria charged my card to pay for tests to confirm their ability to speak and comprehend English to get into school. The school the Universirty of Wyoming - Why there of all places? They actually used my card for admissions and one another test to qualify to join their Graduate program. They stole my money to qualify to get into America to probably bomb an American Building. You need an MBA to be a terrorist?

It just happened to me too! My husband and I just came back from an International trip and we have 3 charges of $175 from this TOEFL bullS!#%! We called the bank and they were able to tell us which debit card was charged and they cancelled it and will issue a new one. However, we have to wait till the charges post to the account and then they will investigate and issue a credit. How the heck did this happen???? This sucks...and right before Christmas :(

This also happened to me...I did not do any Christmas shopping online at all. Just paid a few bills. They got me for $175.00..called the bank no problem to get the money back...just have to drive 15 miles to our local sheriff to file a report and then another 30 miles to the bank...gas is now $3.19 a gallon so this hasn't been as easy as one would think. Sounds like someone needs to put these people out of business.

Totally frreaked!  We have over $1500 charges pending in 10 different smaller charges!  Called our Chase Bank & I have to wait for the charges to go thru before I dispute.  Has anybody gotten thru to this # to dispute?

Same here 175. I haven't used my card in over a month, I have no idea how they got my info

I'm on hold with my bank now. All these years no problems and now, the ETS*TOEFL svcs drama. WTH?!  My bank will issue me a new card and I will have to sign the "I didn't do it and I don't know what it is" declaration and my bank will investigate.

They said it was only my debit card that was compromised and not my bank acct. The last time I used my card was last month when I ordered an accessory for my notebook, from the (well-known and well-respected) company website.

Of course I don't know if that company's database has been hacked or if this mess stems from something totally unrelated...

P.S. I didn't know anything about the debits until I got a call from the bank, the same day the company tried to put them through (yesterday). Thank God for those alerts.
