Not sure if this was a legitimate wrong number or not. Number is for the Berks County Prison. No one that I am aware of is locked up. Caller I.D was Reading, PA.

Called the number, recording said Berkshire Jail System.

Caller ID indicated "unknown" so I did not pick up. Person left no message so I assume it was just a mis-dial.

google says it belongs to "Berks County Jail System".  wha???

Got a call from this number caller saying "This is your oldest grandson" and then hung up. I don't have a grandson. Caller ID said Berks County Jail.

Two calls from this number -- "Hi Grandpa how are you."  Scam.

I haven't answered my landline showing any number that I don't recognize for OVER THREE YEARS!!! Bust up the greedy telecom monopolies like they did to the "Ma Bells" in the 1950's. The telecoms could EASILY, significantly reduce the number of these scammer-calls if they wanted to!!! Once there is another practical way to get on the Internet besides DSL or cable, I will happily give my business (money) to that other way!!!

My husband answered this call.  They said "This is your oldest grandson."  He hung up. Knew it was a scam.  Berks county Jail in Pennsylvania, according to "Google."

Have received two calls from this number from Reading, PA.  Both times when answered, male voice:  "Hi, Grandma, How are you."  Since I knew it wasn't any of my grandsons, I hung up.  Looked up the # and showing Berks County Jail.

Look up the word "spoofing" before you post a name &  number you found on the internet.

Missed call. ID reads, "County of Berks". Listed number comes back as the Berks County Jail, PA. My guess is the number was spoofed by criminals who are using it to try and get the elderly and mentally incompetent to give them information/money premised on their pretending to be a relative of some kind. Very old scam, but still plenty of potential victims out here.

Received call at 10:32 a.m. on 12/27/2017.  Adult male caller said "Hello, Hi Grandpa."   My caller ID showed Berks County.  As I knew it wasn't one of my grandchildren, so I just said, "What's up."  I was going to play the game, but he then hung up.
