i got a call from this number today and didn't bother answering. i called sprint after reading the various comments on this site and they say that it was probably just a courtesy 'call back' after i had contacted them a few days ago in regards to some questions i had about my plan. it seems like they outsource their customer service representatives from some private firm and that's why the number isn't coming directly from sprint customer service. hope this helps :)
He said he is sprint and said they will decrease my phone bill to 59 dollars, but my phone bill is onlyt 46 dollars now. And he said it doesn't make much difference. It is insane to me. And he said this call won't take up my minutes. But it did. Now I'm pissed.
I received a call from these people at 7:23 p.m. When I attempted to call back, it was busy. No message. Has anyone figured out if it is, in fact, Sprint or a scam?
it's july 30 7:54 pm....i got a call from 610-337-9080....i was unable to answer it..no voicemail was left when i tried calling it back i got ringing but that was it.
610-337-9080 I received a call from this number on my sprint cell phone. I did not pick it up. My voice mail picked up back ground talking, but no message. I tried to call it back , but it rang busy.
received a call from this number tonight. wasn't able to answer the phone but caller did not leave a message. I googled area code 610 and its says Pennsylvenia.
Received a call from them at 11:15, but I was on the phone in my office so I didn't pick up. They left a voicemail but all I could hear was people talking in the background. The voicemail lasted 6 seconds. I have tried calling them back but all I keep getting is a busy signal. My cellphone provider is Sprint. I have not called them or anything recently, so unlike the above person, I don't think this was a courtesy call. Has anyone found out whether this is really Sprint or a scam?
I too got a call today from 610-337-9080. They knew my name but I think it is because I have had missed calls from this number a few months ago an my voicemail says my name. The rep said he worked with sprint and that any minutes I was talking to him were not being deducted from my "anytime minutes" since it was an official call from sprint. He then proceeded to ask me "do you frequently go over your minutes?" to which I responded, "You work for Sprint- don't you have that information?" He said "No all we have is balance information and billing information so I said "OK Fine what was my last month's bill?" He told me that his system wasn't working or something so I cut him off and said "F You you do not work for Sprint don't call me again" then hung up. Total scam - if "Sprint" needs to call you to ask you if you go over your minutes thats the worst business process ever - think about it - I am a Sprint rep and I have all of your information EXCEPT the information I am calling to ask you? If Sprint was trying to offer customer's better plans, its databases would target users who do go over their minutes, offer them a plan that is more expensive and lock you in for another two years. This number is a total scam do not answer calls from it or play it the way I did if you are skeptical - ask them what your billing address is, what are the last 4 numbers of your SSN, etc. They will not have it.
Sprint/Verizon? They continuely call my cell phone and I will not answer a number unless I know you or I am expecting your call. Finally I got tired of the constant calls and check out some information on the Sprint website and they have information concerning there Do-Not-Call-Policy at this link: http://www.sprint.com/legal/sprint_privacy.html#use. Basically you can have your number put on the list for a minimum period of five (5) years, or longer if required by law, and two (2) years for our business customers. Check it out if they are driving you nuts like they were driving me nuts. They are also calling from a New Jersey # 973-405-6077.
this number has been coming up on my id for a few weeks and i never answered until this morning. they said it was sprint together with nextel and wanted to know how much i paid for my service. i asked if they were sprint, why didn't they know how much i paid? the answer was "oh, i'm not in the billing department". definitely threw the bs flag, told them to call later (so i could look into it). on the phone with sprint now... holding
610-337-9080 called at 9am this morning on my cell. Since I work nights, I wasn't thrilled to see that it was just "Pennsylvania" on my caller ID. I have had similar calls from a different 610 area code. They never leave a message and I don't answer. I've gotten a few from "Florida", as well. As far as Sprint goes (carrier on my cell) - on our home phone we get a LOT of calls from what I have come to find out is a collection agency for Sprint. Neither of us is delinquent on our accounts so I have no idea why they keep calling. It's annoying!
look...if they continue to call you at all times of the night and it gets annoying...well do the same thing back...my plans are to continue to call the number all the time and mess with these people..I am a mother who never sleeps...I can call all night long...either that or call sprint/nextel and block the number...best bet there...
