text message claiming to be from Rick Smith at Turner construction buying cabinets as a surprise and wants to pay using paypal.  Wanting to buy item I posted on craigslist.  Matches scam from other numbers.  I responded that I want cash only, and no response.

I got the same text from Rick Smith, wanted to buy as a  surprise and he can pay only by paypal. I said Cash only after that no response

Noticed same scammer responding to Craigslist ad. He says he can only pay via Paypal, that he can't pay cash because he works far away, that he will put extra money into my Paypal account to pay for the shipper, that I then pay this "shipper" the cash for shipping when they pick up the furniture.  Read "scamwarners" and learned that he will say his name is Rick Smith of Turner Construction and that he creates a fake Paypal deposit email so you think you have the money in there and before you know you don't, the furniture has been picked up and you've paid a shipper cash for the pickup.  He texted me from this number and another number 914-268-3815. Said I would only take cash with his ID upon pick up and no response.  Stay away from him.

Yup Rick Smith of Turner Construction reached out to me in response to a craigslist posting (beginning to dislike Craigslist just a side note but), "Rick" also said it was for a surprise, could only pay by paypal.  He's concocted  a kind of look alike paypal response, but note:
1.  It's address to your e-mail and not you the person
2.  The e-mail is sent from joylove270@gmail.com; on behalf of; Service@PayPal.com [Email.transactionverifier@consultant.com]  NOT A PAYPAL address.
Beware and Be careful.
I provided the e-mails to spoof@paypal.com
3.  He adds money for pick up fee and an "incentive"
He'll follow up with e-mails but I did not respond.
