Called several times... didn't leave message.

Same thing happened to me on 08/20/07.

9/14/07, 9:55 pm CST I answered the phone and nothing, then a hang up

Received a call at 9:35 PM CST and they did not leave a message.

Keep getting called by someone from this number.  No one is ever there to respond to.  My phone is ringing 4 to 5 times a day!  Please stop calling.

Thanks for the info. I just called an left them a message not to call me again. I will continue them until they stop calling me.

Rang my phone twice then hung up.

They call us too, from different kind of numbers!
Caller ID is Eastern Research # 610-543-0575 or SPRINGFIELD PA # 610-543-0000. They even asked is this so-and-so? Yes, it is. Oh, I have the wrong number. What the ....???????????????
Why call me, then tell me my name and say you have the wrong #

Can someone tell me why they do this?

I received two calls from Eastern Research tonight, one at 9:35 and the second at 9:55. After telling them to remove my number from their call list and not to call my home again ever, I went online and filed a complaint with the FL Dept of Ag and Consumer Svcs.  

I don't believe the supervisor that told me that telemarketers cannot call after 9 pm, but telephone surveyors can.  

I promptly emailed every staff email I could find for Easter Research and thanked them for hiring such courteous staff for their call centers.  I mean, it was the least they could do if they were going to interrupt my peace and quiet at my home after 9 p.m.!!!

began receiving calls from 1-610-543-0575 on 8/19/08 and then 4 or 5 calls on 8/20/08.

I work at Eastern Research. Surveyors are legally allowed to call until 10pm, or we'd all be in jail since it sits right in the middle of a government center across from a courthouse. Sometimes when you pick up it may take 3 or 4 seconds until it connects. If you do not want to be called ask to be taken off the call list. Do not scream it or hang up, as this will more than likely mean you'll get more calls. Our policy is that we have to abide by is, if they don't specifically ask to be removed or if they don't specificlly decline, they cannot put "no call back". It may take a few calls until someone actually puts you on the no call list. Speaking to a supervisor does little, just as much as the initial surveyor can do. Our lists are automated and we do no wish call people so late, but they won't fix the dialer system, where HQ in Springfield is responsible. Your name probably got on our list by giving your number to companies, that eventually ended up at a list at HQ, or you inherited the number from someone who did it. Except for politicals where we get our names and numbers from the voter registration, and it's largely inaccurate and outdate thus we get a lot of wrong numbers.

Got a couple of calls from this number..No message and no one there when answered

This number called us SEVEN times in one day. Every time we picked up no one was there...and we waited for someone to answer. One time someone actually was there and my  husband told them to remove us from their calling list. The other times there was no one on the other line! We also called the number back and left a message for them to remove us from their list. This company is messed up!

No one is ever there for me to tell them to stop calling.  If they don't stop calling me, I am going to go find them.
