This number is for a company that online personal websites utilize to handle their billing and credit card transactions.  I found over 30 different personal sites that use this company.  When you call to complain about unauthorized charges, they want your credit card info and they won't tell you the name of their company.  Be Ware!!!

Ive had the unfortunate luck of running into this as well. I received a unauthorized charge to my credit card for a web site afflilate called FriendFNDWD (GBR) this is a web site in Great Britian.

Im being charged $29.95 per month. I have disputed the charge that hit my account in August and am waiting to see if I get another in Sept. If I do get another charge I will have no other option but to dispute that charge and then cancel my credit card number.

To much of my dismay, I learned from the credit card company that this charge can keep reoccuring each month even though disputes are being filed. I did agree to keep my card open for 30 more days but if another charge comes in Sept then I will have no other recourse but to cancel my credit card that I have had for years.

Beware of the number 610 757 1929. They wont talk to you unless you give them your credit card number and why would you want to do that since it is already being charged illegally without approval.

Just be careful! There is no way to stop the charges other than to dispute them and cancel out your credit card number that they have.

The company FriendFND...etc. is related to a personals website (FriendFinder.com). There are many affiliates - Adult Friend Finder, Bondage.com, Alt.com - which are used by people looking for 'intimate' encounters of the less-than-serious-relationship kind. If you've never personally been on one of those websites, maybe someone who knows your credit card number has.

btw, those sites also provide online videos/photos for viewing.

We have just discovered a 49.96 charge September 4, and then another one tonight, 9/10/08 for 19.90.  The strange thing is that the phone number to this company was printed right on our statement so we could call about it.  We don't hardly ever use our credit card nevermind using it online.  We were out at dinner when tonight's charge was made.  I think it is strange that whoever is using our cc number isn't smart enough to make this a duplicate amount.  I would have been far less likely to have noticed an even amount charge.

When i submitted a problem with my AFF profile I received a automated email reply directing me to call this number to fix the problem, and claimed my CC had not been charged.  Do I call them >

i spoke to mike at friend finder, said it was an account setup back in april with adult friend finder, not by me tho', i live in NYC, dont need some moronic website to meet people.
He said he will cancel the rebill on the account, so we will see in 30 days.
so im out 120 bucks.
only thing i can say is call and have the re-bill cancelled, mike was nice as you would expect.

charging money to credit card account

I had the same thing happen for two months at $19.95 per month. It was because I previously opened a Friend Finder acct. and thought it was cancelled, but it was not. \
I called the number and they canceled the acct.

Rick posting from Amsterdam, Holland here. I took the same cancelling re-bill action as you did, a girl helped me @ Friendfinder. She told me to erase the re-bill out of the system (beginning of Oktober 2008)

Guess what?! The USD 29,95 is back again on my creditcard statement.

So, good luck with it, I am about to call those f#ck#rs again.

it was easiest for me to contact my credit comp. had them cancel the acct. all together, and opened a new account! good luck!!!

Just found charges of 42.90, 1.29, and 42.90 in 2 separate months.  I just got off the phone with my bank and they are canceling my card.  I did try to call the number given and they were no help.

I am going to forward this to the US attorney generals office and file a complaint.  I will be contacting friend finder later today and let them know I will be forwarding all this to the attorney generals office.  

If you do get this please do the same.  It is the only way to start the process and hold someone accountable.

they did it to me too....i got this 29 95 charge in july...called the credit card company and told them it was not a charge of mine..they gave me the credit and disputed it and the friendfndwd stopped UNTIL october 10th when they did it again..i did not catch the charge..i was ill...now today i called my card company and they are going to give me the credit again..but then noticed that another charge from them had been added to my next bill !so now i have two disputed and was told their security will stop further charges from them..but no guarantee that in the future it may happen again. I am filing a report with the police department for fraud and hopefully someone somewhere will tackle these varmin. pity the people that don't check their bills.

I found a charge to friendfndwd on my soon-to-be-ex's credit card statement. I called the number, but they wanted the name of a website and I didn't know what to tell them. From what I can tell, he's been a little busy since we separated. I've only found a direct link to ezhotdate.com though. there are also charges to frndfndr228 888-575-8383 on another statement. I would not be surprised if he was a member of this type of site.

SHADY SHADY SHADY!!  Dispute charges from this number right away.  They would not give me any help unless I gave them my card number... and I was not going to do that.  Do let them got away with this!
