I was suspicious about this # since they never leave messages and call at odd times. After some very extensive research, I discovered that this is an unlisted # for PPL Inc. Although when you call, it is a call pilot for "North Hill Corp" or something of that nature asking for a mail box #.
I have no idea how legitimate this # is or whether it is affiliated w/ PPL Electric Utilities.
Same thing, no message, no person. I googled it, found it is PPL and believe that likely to be true, since they're my power company and I owe them money.
I had a call from this numerb tried to call back and it sounded like it said Nortel network. So I searched that it said somethin bout buisness stuff so IDK but I just googled the numeer and found this site.. IDK why PPL would call me I dont own them any money and its 8pm.
Just got a call today from that number as well I do have ppl electric, nor do i owe any money, very odd ? when i tried it also said nortel network or something and about putting in a code
I haven't answered their calls but I used to have PPL Electric and I do owe them some money. Pretty sure that is why they are calling me at least they have the right number!
This is definitely PPL and it is legit. We are on a repayment plan with them and they called us the evening our payment was due when they hadn't received it yet. Hope that helps.
I have been receiving calls from this number as well. I have not answered them as I get calls from a lot of telemarketers and such. I am a PP&L customer but do not owe them any money. None of these calls ever leave a message. I tried calling the number today after finding this website and learning the number is from PP&L. The "Nortel network" recording is one I am familiar with: my last workplace used it as a voicemail system.
This number keeps calling and leaving messages for a Mr. Hoffman, but I'm a woman...and secondly they are from an Electric Company I've never even had an account with. Its my belief that the numbers of some legitimate businesses are being streamed and copy catted by Scammers. Simple solution people...you know who you deal with so if it's a call from a company you do not deal with, simply dont answer, dont reply.
This number calls me repeatedly and at odd hours as well. Never leaves a message. I do have PPL Electric Utilities, but my payments are current and on time. What a waste of money on this company's part. Why don't they use the money they are spending on this absurd calling system to lower costs or help those in need. I'm sure many would be very thankful.
