Attorney's office, left nasty message at my parents house in Colorado. What???

Aggressively threatening to collect

Wow... very nasty message left from an "attorney's office" insisting they speak to a certain person or their attorney. She said the office was from the Office of Ben Thomas.

As a follow-up... this number is actually for a business called B&T Collections, operating out of an attorney's office, or as a sub business to an attorney's office.

The officer listed for the company according to PA records is UTE SUMMERHILL, President.

Very Rude collections call. I looked them up in the Washington State DOL directory...they are not licensed in WA to collect debt or to call washington to collect a debt under there name of The Law Office Of Russell Thomas or as B&T Collections, Inc. So per RCW 19.16.110;

And on a further note Washington is a closed-border state, and you must have a license before contacting debtors or soliciting clients in Washington.

I have gotten repeated phone calls from this Thomas Russell office stating that I must call them by a certain time or else. When I did call them I was told I had no choice but to pay them. I explained to them I could not make the whole payment on what I owe and that I would have to send payments to them monthly. I was told that they do not like dealing with people who do not intend to pay their debts and that I would have my wages garnished as well as my car taken from me. I could not believe that, a collection agency can not do that to you legally. I want them to stop calling me and have told them to do so but they said they will keep calling until they get what they want, money.They have called from the above number and this one too--->610-891-0624.

they called me a month ago, stated who they were on my answering machine, so i called them back right away, she stated that if i didnt call her back, and her name is angela smith, that i would also have my wages garnished, and i would never be able to get a job (which i dont no what that has to do with anything)anyways i told her that i would be happy to pay a certain amount a month, and ofcourse she said that they wanted more, and that they would send me all the paper work, and i can send them a check, no problem, well ofcourse i never recieved any paper work, till this day,(1 month later)and she called today, and again left me a nasty message, so again i called her back, and when they answer the phone, they mumble the words, (but i thought this was a lawyers office why wouldnt you actually say the name)and this woman got nasty with me, told me that i was a lying about receiving the papers in the mail, and you can forget about everything, iam taking you to court, and we will have your wages garnished, and youll never get a job again, i was about to answer her, and she hung up on me, very professional coming from a "lawyers office" huh,

We just got this same call last night, stating "have your attorney call us back at this number."  Same women Ms. Miller at Thomas Russell's office.  It doesn't mention what the bill is about or anything, just the threat.  Thank you all for your comments, I don't intend on calling them back.

i actually had an account with them and they were very nice they were willing to work with me when the original company would not. she said they leave an attorney call back message because if u have filed bankruptcy, as many people have been forced to do lately, they need to talk to them to get all your case information

Last week got call from Betty Hunter from Thomas J Russel. She left nasty message saying I better call back or I will be served. This week I recieved call from same person but from Summerall and associates. This time I had until 7pm or a warrant will be issued. What is going on? I called a buddy of mine from the attourney generals office here in New mexico and he said to write a claim against this office. Sounds like a collection agency and they can not leave that type of message on the phone. The complaint was filed, now it's a waiting game. Beware of any calls from this #.

My call is pretty much the same as the previous calls.  Angela Smith left a message with me from Summerall Hill and Associates and this case # has been file im my office this morning in a final review status.  I am making a final attempt to resolve this voluntarity and then left the number.

I rec'd nasty message on voice mail from Angela Smith, almost the same from all above,,,left message,,,nothing back, have zero idea of what or why calling...live in Iowa,,not sure if there is anything I can do to stop or find out why..

they called me about a credit card account. I set up arrangements to get the account paid off and now anotehr company is saying that bill isnt' paid off. Summerhill's phone number is disconnected.

This is the same company with all of the same people and files but they moved to a different state.

They are a bunch of crooks, took my settlement amount and never let the co. know I paid!!!!!!!!!!! I am still trying to get this matter resolved. Beware of this number and bette hunter.

This is a cross reference to 302-369-3677.  Got a call from some guy (could not understand his name) from Summerhill and Associates.  Had a claim nunber and asked me or my attorney to contact their legal claims department.  The callback number was 302-369-3444.

Anybody have any other experience with them?

They r crooks they steal your money and dont give it to the company and u will have another colection company calling you I paid Betty Hunter over 3000 for my sons rehab bill and it was never reported I have reported her to the better business bureau and I am filing a civil suit against the company....... DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING THEY R THIEVES

I have had the same problem I paid they never gave money to company

Summerhill and Associates is no longer at 260 Chapman Rd.  I went there 9/11/12 and found the office abandoned with no office furniture.  The phone Number 302-369-3444 has been disconnected.  I am unable to locate this company to obtain the money from collections we sent them.
