- RI am not in default but I am trying to get my home loan modified by Wells Fargo. Yesterday, I received a call from this number and the person stated that they were calling from Wells Fargo and needed to confirm my address. I confirmed my address before realizing that I shouldn't be giving my personal information. I told this person that if they were calling from Wells Fargo, they already know my property address!! I told her that I would call Wells Fargo myself. I could tell she was upset with my response. Long story short...I googled the number and it was really ASC Mortgage Collector. Wells Fargo confirmed that they are not affiliated with this company and that I should not be receiving any calls.
- Caller: ASC Mortgage Collector
- WandaThe guy on the phone said he was from wells fargo. He was very rude and wanted me to set up direct deposit. My loan is current. When I asked for him to put me through to another agent he would not respond.I finally had to hang up on the guy.I then called wellsfargo and they said they did not call me.When I called the 612-312-6600 back it said this is a non working wells fargo number.I believe this is a scam.Wells fargo agents that I've talked to in the past have never been so rude.BEWARE!!
- RobI received a call twice from this number - 612-312-6600. The first time no one was on so I hung up. The second time, I waited and didn't say anything, after about 20 seconds, an automated voice said: Please hold for an important message from your mortgage company. I received the call at 7:30 pm and hung up and googled the number to find this. I happen to have a mortgage at Wells Fargo - am current but trying to get modification.
- Call type: Debt collector
- DFDo not give any information to anyone calling from a blocked/private #.
If it is your mortgage company calling, it will say so on the caller id.
If you do not have caller id, ask for a # to call back, let it go to voice mail/answering machine (these people will not leave a message)or call your mortgage co. yourself to see whay they are calling! - Mac replies to Mike| 7 repliesI just got a similar call and I'm SUPPOSEDLY in a Wells Fargo Loan Modification Program. It never ends.
- Omaro replies to Mac| 1 replyYes...I am too in a Modification waiting period. On New Years Eve I received a package from WF informing me that I am now on a trial period, along with a bunch of papers that I have to fill out with information I have provided already a gazillion times....and yet I get a call or two every day from their collection department. Cant they communicate amongs themselfs?
- RoddenTodd replies to MacI treid thier loan modification and they RAISED my monthly payment by $200. That helps trouble making it before now I cant
- Adml. Akbar replies to MikeIt's a TRAP! This number is not associated with wells fargo at all. they are trying to get your money.
Deal with the real wells fargo and give these people no information! - DCJust received a call and message - Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. I'm current so I called them back. It is now their policy to call to "remind" you of your current payment the 2nd day after the payment is due even though you have 15 days to pay before you get hit with a late charge. Once you call them back, they mark the account and they don't call back unless you go past the 15 days.
- DanibellYes, DC I just had the same situation happen to me. I usually pay with my first paychek of the month. There is a 15 day grace period. today is the 3rd. they called me to "remind" me of my payment....really I said...because I always miss my payment? She said it was just updating information and calling to remind me of their policy....that payments are DUE on the 1st... OK....I just think they are worried about more people defaulting on thier loan..She started out with this is attempt to collect a debt....you know, that sentence they have to say....Stupid banks!!!!! it is their own fault for loaning to unqualified people!

- hmgot one call from this number 2 days ago...i am a senior..live in a apartment complex...i had changed my phone number because...i had gottern previous calls from a " private caller ",,,,2 hours straight...so i do not know who this number is and i am not going to answer it....i hope these people are punished for the way they do business....if it ..is a business...at all.....?????
- hm replies to Maci do not have a loan with anyone..or never heard of this place...or company...every so often they call i do not answer ....they do have a wrong number
- mikeApparently a mortgage company. Got the standard "please hold for an important message" but actually had a human come on the line before the message finished. Sad part is the human claimed the number dialed wasn't mine. Not sure if the human was BSing me or if someone out there forwarded their phone number to mine because they got tired of being harassed.
- Gary replies to OmaroI too am in a program since last June with Wachovia, then the loan was transferred to Wells Fargo, still waiting. Hope you have better luck.
Gary - MXi also got a call from this number 612-312-6600 and from reading this comments it seems this is a scam or something similar because i m current with my mortage loan so i will be very careful on returning this people calls and giving them any personal info. and it seems that they are targeting people that have or had had a wells fargo home loan. i think if they need to contact someone first they will leave a message then after several attemps they will mailed a letter. so to be on the safe side is better to call them directly(wells fargo) and find out from them directly.
- Mary Westhoffcalled regarding my loan modification and asked for more info on income and had me fax it to a # - they said they were Wells Fargo and I had no reason to believe they weren't but then I tried to call back and zip.,.....non working #
