Got calls from this number twice in one day.  Answered and there was no answer on other end...then hangs up.

Same here, got a call from this number twice this afternoon. Picked up but there was no answer. I called back and got the message "the subscriber you are trying to reach is not in service".

Also had this phone call a few times to my work line. It shows up as "International Gateway" for Caller ID. The voicemail that was left happened to be from a customer in Ontario.

Usually calls from Canada come up without appearing like this, but there may be an alternative number that Canadians use so they're not charged for calls to the US. That's my theory anyway.

Picked up I heard a ring at the other end then a hang up. The second call I ignored.

Somebody called once by the evening but i didn't pick up. Then, looking for information about 612 area code on internet (because I was figuring out who tried to call me) I got surprised because the first website I saw at google's search was this one here, where people are discussing exactly about that phone number!

I got a call from this number and I was in rest room at that time. They left a voicemail and anyhow I could not understand which language it is. I tried to search in Google and I am surprised to read all the messages.

Yep. Just got it and while trying trace it back came to this website.

Tried calling back & it doesn't go through. The standard check your number message came up.

this guy called me from this # he wants me to get in with his crime ring

This person has called here under this number several times and doesn't say anything. The number comes up INTL GATEWAY. Now the number has changed twice with same Intl gateway name. Now I'm getting calls from 612-326-5609 and 612-246-3836. I put a block on all 3 numbers by pressing *60 on my phone.

got a call from 2039516026 with caller id  INTL GATEWAY at 12.42 am. Picked up the call, but the other end hung up. I searched for th id on web and wow ........  so many messages  !!!

I also got a call from this person and I could barely understand the womans voice, most of it I could not make out at all.  It almost sounded like a child or someone with a really heavy accent.

Got a call and caller ID said: INTL GATEWAY and the number was 217-953-4170 they did not leave a message and when I called back it was a rapid busy signal. Hmmmmm.

So irritating.  Got a call from 612-326-5608 and I heard what sounded like a party going no in the background but the person hung up.  Someone has way too much time on their hands.  Can we do anything about this kind of stuff....Can you block numbers on your cell phone?

Got calls from 818-456-1234, 612-326-5608, 612-246-3836. The last 2 are from Intl Gateway and are trying to help you with your credit report..They are scammers calling from India..Check out other forums re the #s listed above..Don't allow them to take advantage of your credit. Beware they call multiple times in a row and will not leave a msg but call all hours of the day/night..Block the #s with *60 on your land line.

On Jan 25, 2008, got calls from 612-326-5608, 612-326-5609 and 612-246-3836, and the callers did not leave a message. I didn't bother to call them back. I usually like to check the number before I call them back. Thanks for the information.

Said they were from the US Government Finance Dept. (no such thing) and told me something about $5000 that they would put into my bank account.  I told them that they were frauds!

Got a call on my prepaid cell phone with virgin mobile, and there was people talking in the background, but no one said anything, and then they hung up.

I recived a phone call from INTL Gateway with a number that was near my area. They called five times in a row when I was in the shower, one of my family members answered the phone all five times and every time the person on the other line wouldnt speak until the fifth call. when my family asked who it was the person wouldnt give a name, company or number just that they had a message for me. when my family pushed them further for the message they said that a package would arrive for me the next day western union at llam and that I needed to sign for it. I tried calling the number back not more than ten minutes later but it just said this number is not in service. Now im freaked out cause I have no idea who this person is, I want to know what they are sending but Im not going to accept a package when I dont know what the heck is in it. later on I checked the white pages by doing a reverse number look up and it came up that it was a land line, level 3 communications but that the number was not in service...what was funny is that the location that it gave was in simi valley and the area code that came up is for mission viejo a city about two hours away from simi valley.

Alright, I'll settle this whole number mystery. I have a friend in Australia, and I live in Minnesota (actually in the 612 area code) and when he calls from his cell phone to the USA, it goes through a non-working number. Sometimes it's from this number, other times it's from an 813 area code. In my experience (and I literally just got a phone call from him today) it is a non-working number that is used for international phone users to call the United States. I always let the call run to voicemail and make sure it's him, then I phone him back!
