It's Food Perspectives and they are trying to reach someone regarding a taste test.

It is a taste test company calling to ask if you'd like to participate in a paid taste test.

It IS Food Perspectives and you have to put in your panel # (I don't have that) or else call their customer care.....and they don't give you that number!!!

It isn't a bad deal, they pay you for a 30 survey. Mine is $35 this time, last it was $60.

Food Perspectives is a food testing company that has ongoing food tests around the metro area. If you sign up on their website you can participate in different food tasting tests. I've been doing it for years now. I used to have $10 per test donated to our town's hockey association, but since my kids are grown and no longer play hockey, I just take the full amount check when I do the tests. It's a good way to raise funds for an organization you might belong to. Otherwise, who doesn't need $35-$60 3-4 times a year? Usually you're limited to 1 test every 3 months, but sometimes they have tests that they allow you to participate in if your 3 months isn't up yet.
But, long story short, they're a good business and are probably just trying to recruit new food testers.

If the call is merely a telephone survey, it is legal.
However, if the call is an unsolicited telemarketing effort (even an invitation to "sign up"), and if the recipient is on the DNC list, the call is not legal.
