Got a call from it this morning at 8:50 claiming I was being served with a lawsuit.

I received a call from this number. When i returned the call said it was from ECMC.

whoever they are they do not leave a message and it is getting very annoying

Calling regarding student loan.

wanted me to enter my SS#!

Received a call at my place of employment.  Asked for me personally, started talking about a student loan I was in default.  Advised I have never been to college in my life.  ? if birth month was July, said no.  They have called before and left a message saying they got my number from HR which I know HR does not give out information....SCAM!!!! Don't give them any personal information....

This is ECMC and they manage defaulted student loans, not spam... bill collector.  DO NOT IGNORE THEM!!!  They can garnish your wages....

No debt collector can garnish you wages, stop spreading bs on the internet nobody falls for it.

612-800-6669 = caller id = Minneapolis MN = spoofed number utilized by ECMC (California in 916 area code) who are in actuality  scammers trying to get your personal information to check on any student loans you 'might' have...no one in my family owes student loads, but since they can go back to mid 1960's, typically utilizing names that are similar to yours...and a variety of other scams...why do it?  Because current administration KING wrote presidential order that allows collections all the way back = no limits on time = one such scammer, a high school drop out, earned over $650,000.00 last year scamming people... so if you want to be scared out of your wits, answer their calls...me? I don't answer anymore and I do block every number they use....

ECMC: quit with the harassing phone calls--you harass people into giving you money when you have no proof of who you are dealing with

They do not identify themselves, use a different out-of-state phone number every day, don't leave a message, and they are asking for social security number. SCAM!

The one time they left a message, it wasn't even for me.  I don't have student loans anyhow.  They usually do not leave a message, just call.... ALOT.  I added them to my auto reject list.

ECMC is ALREADY garnishing me and yet they continue to harass me with calls and emails and letters even tho they are already getting paid! The government needs to step in and oversee these sketchy student loan companies.

They called me twice and I didn't answer. When I called back, I received an automated system asking to enter my social. Definitely a scam.

They just called. Didn't leave a message. Blocked haha
