I saw that they had called this morning - no message - I hate the microsoft bs which I've received in the past

An Indian guy asks me to go to my PC to get rid of a virus (that I don't have) and follow his instructions.yeah right! He says he's with Microsoft,yeah right! I called a dumbass and not to call me ever again before I hung up!!!

It's weird, I just got the call too. But it didn't ring on my cell phone. Just got a text saying I missed a call from this number. Bizarre. Microsoft will never contact you directly to fix an issue on your computer!

I just got a call from a Riki Carter??? from saying that my Microsoft updades we not working and he wanted to help fix them.  I told him that it was a scame but he got aggresive and insisted that he want to help me.

Two days ago this guy said he was from microsoft and I hung up - still called twice today and im not feeling well - very annoying

Same thing here- Idian guy, knew my full name, said that I reported a problem with my windows. Asked him which company he was from and he answered "windows" (Idiot). Told him I did not need my windows cleaned or my carpet washed and hung up :)

Soupçonnant l'arnaque (car je suis sur Mac et je n'ai pas de problème d'ordinateur de surcroît!), j'ai fait semblant de ne pas parler anglais et il m'a souhaité une bonne journée et de joyeuses fêtes!!

Got a call from this number and I couldn't even hear what he was rambling about. So, just hung up. I should have spend some time and have some fun with him.

I keep getting calls and when I answer it beeps and says goodbye. No one talks just an automated "Goodbye" I have been getting tons of these computer problem calls lately. So annoying.

I tried Google Hangouts on my iPhone calling my home phone from Ottawa to Ottawa and this is the number that came up on the home phone call display. Hangouts is a very easy to use VoIP app that lets you make outgoing calls. You can't receive calls from non-Google Hangouts users though as dialling this number gets you a busy signal.

Is this a legitimate call from a techie friend who uses Hangouts, or is this from a scammer who has figured out how to hide his identity behind Hangouts? How lucky do you feel?

Foreign accent said he was from MICROSOFT and my computer was latched onto a Government server costing $1,000.00 / hour.

Told him I had no computer and that I was busy hacking his bank account :)  so I could not talk to him right now. He called me a bunch of NASTY NAMES and hung up on me.

Spoofed phone number, this is a call centre in India, likely in Mumbai. They claim to be a technical follow up for Microsoft, but anyone who has ever used Microsoft tech support will know that legitmate Microsoft employees will ask for you by name and quote a case reference number, and MOST IMPORTANTLY  it will be within 48 hours of YOU calling them for help. There is no such service that is initiated by Micrsoft or any other real life help desk system

This number is now FDR aka (financial debt recovery), they use it for local debts so you are inclined to pick the phone up.

Some woman said she was "Wendy". Called me on my cell phone. She said she must have the wrong number. Not sure what they were after but I did say my name which was a mistake.

Called this morning to my Ottawa cell.  
Something about a winning a free cruise. Hung up.

Called me this afternoon. I didn't pick up... But after reading everyone's submissions, I'm glad I didn't!

Received call from Amy saying I would be rewarded a trip for taking a short survey. I hung up.

Didn't answer it - I was already using the phone but saw this number logged on my phone. Glad I didn't answer it!

Free download Mr. Blocker, on Nexus 5.   Google tried to charge me but the I installed it from my phone onto my phone.   It Works marvellously!!!  Enter the number on Blocker exactly the way it appears on your phone. I also selected Hang Up, no message.   This works exceedingly well for any callers, and there is a log on blocker.   Excellent!!!
