Call display says Class One Air. Said they were testing water on our street, and offered a free test saying that they would offer a more extensive test than the one available for free from the city. Abruptly hung up when I insisted I wasn't interested.

Same as Ian above.  Seems very strange.

I just had a call from 613-446-0144. The person on the line sounded pleasant and said that she was calling from SCA...something like that and that they would be on our street today to do water testing today, and wanted to make sure someone would be home this afternoon. She said it was free of charge and we get results immediately. When I asked who is SCA and if they were with the city of Ottawa she said no, they are independent. I was then going ask what is the nature of their business, do they sell filtration systems and before I completed my question she hung up the phone on me... to me, it is obviously a scam if they won't even answer questions about who they are and what they sell! Then I tried to call back, I was going to ask them to remove me from their list and they hung up agian without answering. I had not been rude or even annoyed at the woman on the phone so I have no idea why she did this...unless it is a scam.

The same as above, tried several times to call back with no luck, they just kept hanging up without talking.

A woman called from Class One Air 613-446-0144 asking for Mr X I said there was no Mr just me. She said they wanted to do a free water test. She asked if I used bottled water (no I use Brita), asked if I was the owner of the house or rented (I own), asked if my partner and I would be here between noon and 1 and I said yes I would but there is no partner just me. She told me Keith would be by to do the test. So now I'm waiting to see if he comes. But in the mean time I got nervous wondering why twice she checked to see if there was a "Mr" or another person with me.

I just recieve a call from this number. They asked if I was Mrs.(my husband's last name). I told her no and asked who she was looking for. She immediately hung up. I tried to call back several times but they hung up as soon as they picked up. Very strange.

Just got called by these people, call display says Class One Air. Missed the actual call, and they didn't leave a message, so I came on here to see who they were. After reading these posts my husband tried to call them back and got a "Your call cannot be completed as dialed" recordings.

The usual scam is they want to come out to your home, do a free water test, prove you have bad water and hard-sell you on a water purification/filtration system costing $thousands. They may even offer a refund guarantee or some ridiculous warranty. People generally report great difficulty in getting a refund or exercising the warranty. You can buy equivalent systems for much less if you shop around.

The number is spoofed and they can be calling from anywhere on the planet.

Got a call from a lady from Class One Air who said there was someone in our neighbourhood who could stop by a do a water sample.  When I stated I was not interested she hung up.  I tried calling back and it was busy! SCAM>>>>>>SCAM

They're here too !  Same thing... telemarketing for water testing... I'm sure if I were to let them come my water would be bad !  It's just a scam... BUT what insulted me is the Amy girl hung up on me when I said I wasn't interested... instead of me hanging up on her !

YEs me to from fort-coulonge Qc they called and i had a feeling it was a scam cause did not leave message they call fom 7 am till night  i tried to call back and its always bussy so warning do not answer this call Thank you.

I got the same call last night, however this time they said I had won a "Chemical Reducing Showerhead" value $200 for completing a survey on water quality previously (which I don't remember doing so and probably would not have!).  They called at 7 and wanted to come by at 7:30!  I asked what was the catch and then she explained they did water quality testing and I stopped her by saying that I know it's a scam and she hung up on me.

Oh forgot to mention it was in the Cornwall ON area.

We were sold a system from FCA Filtration which added up to over $7000 (plus credit interest at 19%) and it was installed the next day. They will not come for a Service Call and do not return phone calls. We want to have this system removed and warn everyone to watch for their trying to sell you on a water softener at 10 times the usual price !! The brown water results are a chemical scam done by adding drops to the tested water in your house.

they are trying to convince people in Davidson,Qc that their water (municipal water system) is not fit for consumption, I can assure the population that this water is tested regularly according to all parameters set forth in the regulation regarding the capture of underground water of the Quebec Government.  Our water always meets or exceeds these parameters and because of this, filtration or treatment are not required.  There is absolutely no use in installing an expensive filtration system for our town water.  They use the same "trick" as reported on the program "Marketplace".  Please contact the Municipality of Mansfield (819-683-2944) if you have been contacted or have any concerns.

The Township is coming to test our water from the new system...they believe that ALL the minerals could be gone from the water. Humans need minerals to live !!
Let me know if you have purchased a system from this FCA Filtration Company,...or any other SimpleH2O Filter Company. The sales technique used a fraudulent method to get you to sign,...we will take them to court if they insist our honouring any Contract!!
Home Depot and Canadian Tire have much cheaper units that will do the same job for you!

The Saleman will demonstrate that local water, bottled water,..even the large 5 gallon bottled water is BAD. Then he compares them with his water from a flask he carries,....all trickery !!  Don't be fooled by any of this!! Watch the CBC MARKETPLACE program we saw that explains just how they DO IT !!

Yes, that was such a terrible scam. If you want your water tested for lead, or anything else, I can provide that service. (without the upselling)
