phone rings no one on other end I hang up after 2-3 seconds

I got the same second time in two days

A woman asked for my mom and when I told her she wasn't available the lady said she'd call back. I asked her where she was calling from, and she said Manitoba (which is clearly not true), so I asked her why she was calling and she said for a thank you call and she'd call back. I told her not to.

Same! some man called and asked if i was Mrs Firlotte, which is strange because my boyfriends last name is Firlotte but we're not married.. and then asked when he'd be back and said he'd call again.. who's number is this??

I had an automated voice say "Due to an expected volume of calls - " and then cut off...not even a dialtone...wtf?!

There was a woman on the other end, thought I was my mom, and went right into a long speech about blind children and asked for $299.00 for some kind of equipment. I missed most of what she said including what association she said she was calling from, but I had gotten strange calls from this number before so I told her not to call back. She also didn't mention her name or anything. She said that they were a registered charity, and to check when the invoice came to my house for their charity number with revenue Canada. I hung up.

My phone rings everyday from this number; usually it is around the same time in the afternoon. I know not to answer it anymore.  Thanks for all your shared stories!

hi, i have also received a call numerous times from this number requiring about the blind.

June 4, 2009 4:44 pm  no one on other end of phone.  Hung up after repeatedly saying hello. total time 20 seconds.

This number calls my house almost everyday, they never said anything the times the phone was answered and now they hangup before anyone has a chance to pick it up.

A woman called and asked about my husband.When I told her that he's not
available she hung -up on me before I had the time to ask why she is calling.

This number called me today at 3:30pm, I was not home. When I tried calling back there was an automated voice saying "due to tenical difficulties we are unable to answer your call, please try again in 48 hours"

I called back 5 minutes later and this time an automated voice asked if I wanted to be taken off their marketing list and then cut out suddenly.

Who are these people!?!?

They give a fast  talk about the blind etc.  Don't give them a penny, this is a scam.  As soon as I said “sorry” they hung up and went looking for bigger fish.  I don't know who they claim to represent but if I was an legitimate charity you would expect much better PR.

Don't take my setting the Caller Type "Non-profit Organization" to seriously as scum is not on the pull down list.

More to my first note above I called the number back.

They called twice while I was out and did not leave a message the first two time.
They tried today when i asked who was calling they hung up.

They call our number constantly. When you yell obscenities at them they just call back using a different number

This number has called several times in the past 2 days.  My friend answered my phone for me as I am ill.  The caller asked for me and my friend said "she can't come to the phone right now, who is calling and about what?" at which point the caller said they'd call back and gave no answers.  That was the first attempt.  They have tried seven more times since them- when I answer the call, no-one says a word - they just hang-up.  Have blocked this number plus the 2 other numbers that "W Joe" was kind enough to list.

613-482-0372 called my cell phone yesterday.

Please stop calling my cell phone!
