Joshua - 19 Jul 2007I live in the Ottawa-Carleton region and 613-482-4044 calls day and night. I think its a dialer. When you call it back, a recording states the number is not in service...I'm going to freak out!

TheShack - 30 Jan 2008The number 613-482-4044 is the Shriners/firefighter's telemarketers. They operate out of their main office in Nepean. Annoying! I called them back and told them to put me on the "Do not call" list. The woman says to me "Do you know who we are, do you know what we're about?" I replied "How can I forget when you call me 7 times daily." No more calls! I'll post their office number if I can find it. Cheers!

Nick - 23 Jan 2008I keep getting calls from it too, I live in Ottawa. It is a dialer, I don't know why but whenever a dialer calls my number it will only ring twice on the phone before going to machine, instead of four times like it is supposed to. This one only rings twice.

I too, live in the Ottawa area and have received numerous calls from 613-482-4044 (which turned out to be the Shriners when I called back). I know that I don't appreciate being called repeatedly at all hours of the day and night only to have to listen to dead silence. They sure as hell aren't doing themselves any favours... Can't be too good for business.

It does not belong to any particular telemarketer or person, but it is dialed by many different people who want to pay less for their long-distance.
