Received a call from the above number today Tuesday September 08, 2015 at 01:25 p.m. It was a recorded message stating it was from the CRA and the male voice identified himself as being Constable John Parker and he stated I should contact them immediately regarding a VERY SERIOUS MATTER. I knew about the scam but returned the call ,This time a CARL COOPER answered. I asked for John Parker and he told me he was his supervisor,  and asked if I was P. AKINS. (so they too must have caller I.D.) He stated I was being investigated by the CRA and did I have a lawyer? I stated "Yes I have a number of friends who are lawyers" He then asked if I worked and I told him "No I am retired" He then hung up the phone. So if this report can help some-one I will be happy. BEWARE PEOPLE!!!!!

same thing just happened to my parents. Called number , but didn't seem to be working by 5pm pacific time

Today Tuesday September 08, 2015. Just came back from work and listened to 2 voice messages from the same person & phone number 613-518-8087. Both messages with the same words and sentences: Must be a recording.
The man says he is Constable Tom Parker rom the CRA and ordered me to call him back IMMEDIATELY regarding a "VERY SERIOUS MATTER"
I know it can't be true: The number he called me on is dedicated exclusively to my alarm system and is not given to any one, except it's registered in the phone book... I googled him and found this link. I will not waste on this scam one more second.

We got the same call today.  They threaten there's a large fine, and jail sentence due to a 5 year audit.

When calling you relaize its a call center that know nothing more then your name and phone number.

They spoke for so long to scare us that we hung up thanks to your msg..  Called the actual CRA afterwards to find out theirs nothing on our file to relate.

I'm sure theirs a catch at the end but we didnt hang on long enough.

I received a call from the above number today Wednesday September 09, 2015 at home. It was a recorded message stating it was from the CRA with the male voice identified himself as being agent John Parker and he stated I should contact them immediately regarding a VERY SERIOUS MATTER. I returned the call before noon and this time a CARL COOPER answered. I asked for John Parker and he told me he was his supervisor and presented myself P. Nguyen with my phone number. He stated I was being investigated by the CRA for an outstanding unpaid taxes to CRA and asking me do I have a lawyer? I said "I don't accept any verbal threat and I need you to send me a written letter then I will answer the matter later, not by the phone". He then asked me if I worked and I told him "Yes". He then said we send you a Affidavit to the law court. What a scam!

Similar to all of the others; CRA calling, Constable John Parker.  Needs to have me or my lawyer call him back immediately.  Question of the day and the first indication of some sort of scam; if it's that important why would you not just be on the line.  He leaves a number and repeats it.  He informs me that if he does not hear back from me or my lawyer immediately then he can only wish me the best of luck.  As a small business owner I have had plenty of dealings with the CRA over the years and there is no way they behave in this way.

I've had two calls from a pre-recorded msg. from a Constable John Parker with CRA Cda telling me this is a serious matter and that I need to call back in the next 2 min. or have my lawyer contact him at 613-518-8087. I called back after the 2nd call and this guy answered on the 2nd ring but couldn't hear me due to bad phone reception.  Then I googled it because I've dealt with CRA and there is no way a live person would ever pick up the phone on the 2nd ring.  I'd have to be on hold for at least 20 min. and push a myriad of no's and talk to several people before actually reaching the person I need to talk to.

I got a similar call today and I tried to hang up and was threatend. that a " notice will be served by the attorney."

I received 2 recorded messages along the same line, too, today. The message was aggressive and also generic, in the sense that he didn't even cite my name...so I knew, something was off. In my case, he said that he was a CRA Officer of the name John Arthur. He had a thick latin accent. I'm glad I checked the net. I'm not planning on calling back; instead, will contact CRA to report this incident/telephone number.

i received a call from JOHN PARKER on Friday September 11, 2015. He told me I have a unpaid outstanding balance to CRA and I have to pay today, otherwise police is going to arrest me.
When I asked him to postpone the due date for few days he said he is unable to do that.

This is an overseas extortion scam. Ignore and block. In the US, they claim to be calling on behalf of the US Treasury. It's all the same game---criminals threatening arrest over nonexistent debts.

I've gotten a call from the above mentioned number say that they the CRA Canadian Revenu Agencie and that I had to get a lawer for I was in trouble for thr way I was paying my income tax from 2010 to 2014. To this I told I would refer their no. to the RCMP and the hanged up. This person had a Indian acsent.

"Officer John Parker" leaves a recorded message, claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency. The message sounds threatening, and demands that you return the call immediately. I got 2 calls a few hours apart, on September 14. I suppose they hope to get some money out of you somehow. It's a scam. But can't the perpetrators be caught? It must be that some people are being ripped off by these scammers.

Got two messages back to back today, as transcribed below:

1. If you receive this message, I need you or your reading attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive and very urgent. My officer is Office John Parker and the hotline to my tuition is 613-518-8087. I repeat for you, it is 613-518-8087. Do not disregard this message and to return the call. Now, if you don’t return the call and if do not hear from your attorney either, then, the only thing what I can do for you is wish you very good luck. Thank you and have a great day.

2. The call is from CRA, Canada Revenue Agency. This message is intended to you. The very second you receive this message, I need you or your reading attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive and very urgent. My name is Office John Parker and the hotline to my tuition 613-518-8087. I repeat for you, it is 613-518-8087. Do not disregard this message and to return the call. Now if you don’t return this call or if I do not hear for your attorney either, then, the only thing what I can do for you is wish you a very good luck. Thank you and have a great day.

So, he spoke in somewhat broken English and a Caribbean accent, perhaps? At least he afforded the basic niceties of saying thank you and wishing us a great day...after threatening us! :P What a loser.

Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. They are doing the same here in the US and I also noted Australia is now getting these type of calls as well.

100% scam!

I received phone as well with exact same message from "John Parker" form "CRA" that the issue very urgent and asked for call back 613-518-8087.  When I called back, some one introduced himself as Carl Cooper and asked me if I had a lawyer.  I said no but I don't need any.  He said its from CRA and he would giving me last chance to pay $2489 to him by credit card or I will be called to court.   I said I didn't receive any notice from CRA in this regard how could I receive a call that is asking me to pay immediately at that moment.  He repeated himself and said he gives me last chance.  I said "Ok I will call you back tomorrow" he responded no it has to be paid now.  I said I can't do it now.  He said "ok call me back tomorrow but don't discuss it to anyone else, let us take care of it for you before it goes to court".  I asked my accountant she they called many people but they are not from CRA.  She added that CRA would send written notification and will give lots of time to make sure people make the payment.

Had phone call from this number today.  When I asked the lady who had  very broken English who she was and what she wanted she started in with what has been said in the other postings.  I told her to send the police on over with the cuffs, I was ready to go to jail.  She hung up.

Have received 4 calls today!!!! Annoying as heck....

I got the same call from 613-518-8087
It is a scam. they talk using threatening words...and repeated some phrases from the tax code. he only new my first name initial and my last name (from online phone book). he wanted me to transfer money from Sobey's ;) to settle the issue , he thinks that we are fools like him.

My parnets received the same call today - the caller was very rude! Glad to hear its a scam - will need to inform local police.
