What did he call you for??  This person has been emailing me for a job opportunity and asking for address to send a cashier's check to help with his expenses and some for me to keep as my pay.

The same thing has happened to me.  He said I had the job, and I asked him to confirm what city he will be moving to but he did not give me an answer.  He wanted me to confirm my full name, address and phone number so a "cashier's check" can be sent to me, but I hesitate because he should already have that information from my resume on Monster.

I would strongly suggest you take the time to report this person to the FBI. I too received a "employment opportunity" from this person. His email is an obvious scam. You can get information to report him at this link: http://www.fbi.gov/scams-safety/e-scams

I replied to his email stating he was reported to the FBI. The funny thing is, that the email he sent contained my resume and all of my contact information.... Here is our communications:

OMG!! i have gotten the EXACT e-mail from this guy! the e-mail i received is identical to tosmartforstupid!! at first i"m thinking what a great opportunity...then i went to the website. There isn't any real info about cars. And he was the only contact. I thought that was a little strange. Then I'm thinking maybe I should search the phone number. That search landed me to this page! Wow...thats all I can say.

Research pays.  That was the EXACT email I received too.  Thanks, ToSmartForStupid, for your suggestion.  Monster also needs to be notified that it is (yet) another scam ad.  Maybe they will take it seriously if they get more complaints.

WOW.....I received the same exact email....word for word!  I too thought it was a great opportunity but his emails just didn't make sense and so many typos as well.  It's very scary that these scam guys are pulling resumes off Monster and God knows what other sites, because they do contain all of our personal contact information....address, phone, etc!  I am going to report him to Monster and FBI as well.  

I am so glad I did a google search on his number last night and found this blog!  

I am so tempted to go ahead and have him send me that cashiers check so I can give it to the police!  But I'm not going to risk anything at this point, including my safety!  I have better things to do and focus on.....finding a job!

I just checked the Monster website and that job posting has been removed!!  Still going to report him though!  Just wanted to let you know about job being removed from that site.

I too got the same email and reply from this person and decided it was a fraud.  I have since turned him into the FBI also.  Maybe if enough of us do this then they will do something to stop him.  I have also contacted Monster.com and told them about this person.

i got an email to my personal email from him with a copy of my resume offering me a job and then yesterday he emailed me stating he needed my name, address, and city st which he should already know. when he said he wanted to send me a cashiers check and i take 300 off top for me my family said to report it then i came on here to look his info up and i found this where i was not the only one. but, i did look him up on the better business and found out the company does not exist in u.s or Canada so if he contacts you call police or report to FBI it is a scam

I received this same email from him and at first I was excited because he told me I had the jobb but when i researched his website and tired googling his name I got suspicious. I know alot of CEO have expense accounts and credit cards and it just all sounded very shady to me. I'm glad I put in this number to be googled and found out this information before I messed not only myself but my family up as well so thank you guys very much.

Thank you all for the heads up.  If it weren't for information sharing such as this, who knows how many more people this guy could scam.  I went ahead and filed a complaint to the link given, so hopefully the authorities will do something about this!

I actually spoke with this guy today. He said that my medical, dental, and vision would be covered. He told me that the check will be mailed to me Tuesday. I was suspicous through the entire ordeal, but now that I see what kind of responses there are.. I'm 100% sure it's a scam.

I didn't give him anything that he didn't already get from Monster.com.

I'm from San Antonio, Texas. Any one else out there different?

I even tried sending an email directly to baloras.edward@rocketmail.com and was rejected by Gmail.

You are effectively acting in the capacity of a bank for the scammer in exchanging your own money for his bad check. It's a scam.

I am patting myself on the back right now for listening to my gut and using my brain. I have been unemployed for several months now, and pretty desperate for a decent paying job. I was very excited when I finished my profile on Monster and it read 'High' for its visibility.

I applied for this job with 'Edichat Group' because I used to be an Administrative Assistant and worked accounts payable. When I saw that he was looking for someone to help him with finances, I thought it might be a good position for me.

I received the EXACT SAME EMAIL. I thought it was strange that his grammer was so bad, but what really made me stop, was, after his initial contact e-mail with me, I responded with 3 questions I had for him. When he finally responded 2 days later, I received the same generic response as you did....asking for my info. so he can send me the money and I can keep $300. First red flag...he didn't answer ANY of my questions. Second red flag, he hadn't spoken with me even once, we hadn't had an interview of any sort, he hadn't met me or spoken to me, and yet he was offering me this job to handle his finances??? Hello....how stupid does he think we are?!! Then he's asking me for my info. and going to send me money that I am to accept and take a portion of? I told my fiance...this is not right. I need a job and this money sounds great, but my guts says 'NO'. I've never had a job offer handled like this and I will NOT accept money from a stranger, or accept a job before meeting this person.

I sent a 'no thank you' response to him.

I have been extremely bothered by this incident. I suspected someone was taking my need for work, my need for an income to support myself and my daughters, my self esteem, my trust, my time, and crapping all over them....and that has pissed me off. So, I started googling e-mail job scams and was shocked that these things get through the online job sites like Monster. I thought I was safe taking the time to go through them. After reading that my situation had similar red flags like they were referring to in the 'scams', I decided to google his phone number, and BAM...I found you and all these other smart people who he tried to scam.

Thank you for making this known. I am going to report this also. I am enraged. This is exactly what unemployed people DON'T need...someone taking advantage of their vulnerability and trying to damage their finances even more. I hope he gets NAILED.

Yep! This crazy fraud guy sent me the exact same emails.  It is obviously a scam.  I did not reply back after he sent the one about the cashiers check.  I checked with my bank and I would have to make good any funds that his cashiers check was for as "it would be no good".  I did actually call him today and GUESS WHAT! The [***] - oh I meant dumbo!! answered, I questioned him strongly and he didn't like it so he said he would find another employee, he sounded foreign (I am US citizen).  It is definitely a scam!!! I am reporting him also to the FBI.   I just hate that he has any info about me now and monster.com needs to be made aware as well as all news organizations in the area so that we can get this guy stopped!! He is preying on people looking for a job so that he can steal their hard earned money!!  Look out dude, we are not STUPID, IN THE USA.  You might want to find another career fast!!!

Omg....a few days ago I received the same email....saying the exact same thing.I too am desparate to find a job. I thought it was strange that he would send an email requesting my name address when they are on my resume.
I sent him my address. Thinking what is the harm he has it on my resume already anyway.  Today he contacted me and gave me a tracking number and said he sent me a envelope. After reading this I am taking the check when I reciece it to the police!!!! Thank goodness I found this when I was looking for his website!!! Thanks to all of you who have posted on this site!!!

He called me last saturday and told me he was sending, paperwork for health dental and vision. He said he would send me a cashiers check on tuesday to take care of expenses...plane ticket hotel and rental car and other basc expenses. I can't believe how many people he has contacted!!! I am from North Carolina ...he must be doing this all over the U.S.

Anyone out there should be aware! I actually called this number for days and finally reached this person, he was dumb enough to answer. When I started asking him questions he said why would I send a bad cashier's check? I said well according to my bank once I used a cashier's check from you and if it was no good then my bank would attach my account and get the money back from me. He said well then I will find someone else for the job! He didn't like being asked questions and really didn't mean to answer the phone as he told me he could not talk and that I should call him back at 7:00 PM to discuss. Then I stumbled across this website and it appears he has offered the job to hundreds of people. What a scam artist. Everyone who has been contacted by this creep should definitely contact the FBI and turn him in and the Attorney General of your state government! He is truly preying on the hardship of others. I believe it was his intent to steal money from each of us. Again, he was foreign!!!! not English speaking. He hung up when he didn't like being questioned. I hope he gets put behind bars.

Please do take that cashiers check to the police if you get it.  As mentioned my bank said that if I cashed it and then divied out the money that I would have to pay the bank for all of the funds even if it is a scam!  which I am certain it is.  You may not even receive the funds at all, but if you do - don't trust it.  God has blessed us both with this website and thanks to however set it up to let us all know it is a scam.  Times are hard with this economy and with our government spending more than we even have or can print, and wouldn't it be nice too that if our government would get a grip on the purse strings and "well drill baby drill", we are Americans and we are some of the warmest, kindest most accepting people of this world, but we need to have our own oil!!
