I have been reciving calls from this number. I have no idea who it is.

It's a number used by NCR.

Its collection agency from Ottawa.

Check out the stuff on this site about number 1 800 588 4024.  This is the number they asked me to call them back at (in their bogus, recorded messages filled with aggressive and vague language with no mention of my name or what the "legal action" is all about).  Sounds like an elaborate phone scam, predators like this need to be stopped.

what a  joke........  called  back on a secure /  untraceable  line............verified a   this is a  call center........( lots  of  people talking in the background etc )    .....NO  ONE  knows  anything.........

My 17 year old son has been getting calls on his cell phone from  this number for over a year now.  He didn't recognize the number so he didn't answer it until today out of frustration.  It was a threatening recording from this company regarding someone who he has never heard of.  The message said the person missed a court date and they were going to start tracking his phone.  Of course that feaked a 17 year old out.  So I called the 1-800 number above and tried to tell them who they were calling, all they said was what is the number and 'ok it is removed from the list' and then they hung up.   Rude idiots is all I can say.

Funny how NCR, National Credit Recovery, BBB reports show "Out of Business and disconnected." But, there still is the Verizon, Afni, Midland, Allied Interstate predatory and cowardly network. Yep, debt collector rules are that there are no rules.

A few years ago I had my fill of persistent telemarketers and threatening so called debt collectors.  My frustration drove me to change my phone number of 40 years.  Telephone peace was definitely worth it.  Now phoney debt collectors are calling my number again.  I don't answer unknown numbers,  I look them up on line.   Because of sites like this one I discovered very quickly that  bogus debt collectors are calling me again.  My phone has a feature that allows me to block numbers. So far I have blocked three debt collection numbers in less than a week.  This could become annoying enough to change my number again but so far it is only a very minor inconvenience.

I keep getting calls from this number. Who is it?

Another @ added to my 'caller blocked' list.  A**holes.  

The keep calling me, using my maiden name, which I haven't used in almost a decade, on a cell phone that is not registered to me, saying they are representing their client, Josh Newman, whom I have never heard of.

I've been putting up with phone calls from this number for 8 YEARS and they keep looking for someone who's never lived here.  I can't even find out where to report them from.  They claim to be from a law office that doesn't exist and threaten me with legal action for a debt that doesn't belong to me.  They (when I actually get a person and not a recording) call me a liar when I say that I've had the number for 8 years and that no one has lived here with that name.

Debt collectors.  Threatening legal action.  Threaten all you want, you have no leg to stand on.  

I would gladly round-up about 500 live roaches, and mail them to the office of this Collections Agency, so I can " Unleash the Fury ", ( so to spreak ) Lol !
