Scam recorded message claim to be from Canada Revenue Agency that there is a serious lawsuit filed against me, that if I don't react immediately then felony charges will be filed against me and my Social Insurance Number will be "red-flagged forever".

The real Canada Revenue Agency sends physical mail about problems. The real Canada Revenue Agency also has my email through a government approved Trusted Encryption Chain if they needed to communicate with me.

... and they called back with the same recorded message, so I was able to confirm that the phone number spoken in the message is the same as what showed on caller ID.

The machine-read message mispronounces "Jennifer Gomez" (the supposed officer's name) as "Jeanifer Gomez"

Said they are rev Canada, about a lawsuit that is filed against me. This is the third time they have called today. Getting very annoying. Is there anyway to make it stop?

Same. Agree - Canada Revenue would send mail, not leave a robot sounding message with such threats. They are probably trying to steal identity stuff - Social Insurance Numbers, credit card numbers, etc.

Just got a call from them 613 656-6313 and yes the name was Jennnifer Gomez..The same story..I owe revenu canada 1900.00 or I will go to court. I said bring me to court and they hung up... I don't know why the gouvernment can't trace the call..to stop this. I phoned the number back..and ask the person how can u sleep at night knowing u scam people..I said a lot more, which I can not write.

I had a message from someone saying they were from CRA saying my social insurance number is under investigation.  I called the number and they said I had to supply my cell phone number and could not pay money owing on line - I hung up on them.

I just got the Revenue Canada scam call. This time they said "Serious lawsuit against your name" instead of actually saying a name, which would have been difficult, since they called the secondary line of my office. The number showing on caller id is the one they want me to call back, but they can drop dead before we will call them.

same thing, "BIG" lawsuit filed against me if in don't call them back. Claim to be Revenue Canada. Please do not call these nuts back. Revenue Canada never calls anyone on the phone, I have relatives who work for Revenue Canada, they should know. Just a bunch of scammers
