Just got a call from them. They said something about calling on behalf of something, but it was very broken up. Then the call dropped.
Very strange??????

Received 3 calls tonight, no voice message left on answering machine.  Calls are from Ottawa Ontario Canada.

Just received a call from that number and they were talking about wanting help to keep Prime Minister Stephen Harper in order to avoid elections and they even ask me for contributions of 200$ or 400$ on my income tax???  I told them I was not interested and hung up... it sounds like a scam...

Received this call also about 2 hours ago but did not respond...probably a scam of some sort.

Called this morning. I see it is an election call for Conservatives, well a help us win, not a call I want to answer, Harper is an oil man and has done nothing to save the environment, but they are building more jails, even though crime is down and some jails are not at capacity. Well now even more people have to vote for them to keep their job, oh the trickery. New bills coming out to throw more people in jail too thanks to them. They love seeing people in jail for smoking a joint. So answer this call and tell them you do not agree with their policies.

Got 2 calls from that number today. First time, they didn't leave message.  Second time, I was at home, I answered.  After a few seconds, a french speaking lady with accent from France asked for my wife. She was absent and I offered to take message. The lady replied "no, not necessary" and she hung up.
C'est ça : elle a dit "non, ce n'est pas nécessaire" et elle a raccroché.

Got a call this morning asking about something to do with Steven Harper. The girl on the phone could hardly speak english and the line quality was extremely poor. I told them not interested and hung up. This is either a scam, or another reason not to vote for harper.

We are on the no call list and still get calls?????????  The guy was rude and couldn't speak English........so I hung up!!

Spoke French and asked if i spoke french. I asked them to identify themselves (in french) so they would talk and they said " they represent  Steven Harper" to which i responded i don't belive you and they hung up.

They are also calling New Brunswick.  Is this my tax dollars at work, for a lot of wasted long-distance calls by the PC party?  No one picked up here, but I appreciate being able to check here & learn from other posters who it was.  If they are legitimately representing the Conservatives, it sure doesn't sound from the previous comments like they are being very professional!
Political parties are exempt from the Do Not Call List.  :(

Got a call at dinner time. Did not answer... checked here ... and am happy I didn't!!

I got a call from this number today ... too!!! Damn I wish I had of been home to take the call... Be nice to Telemarketers... sometimes they've just got a job to do... and if you don't want to help just say NOT INTERESTED !!! But PLEASE be fair... We are not all bad people... and I speak perfectly good english ... even though I was told today that I had a horrible voice... "too funny"... oh well ... whether or not I have a nice voice isn't the objective of the call... it's to identify support!!! Either you are or your not... the question is simple... and of course it's probally a fund raising call...  because of Bill C-24... it bans Businesses and Corporations from making a donation to a National Political Party... meaning that Political Parties have no choice only depend on their Supports to raise funds to prepare for an Election!!! So how do you reach supporters you "Call Them"... and when you say "this number called me 3 times today" well  the call was probably coded correctly (as it's all computer dialed = no long distance charges)  but no one was there to take the call and it just automatically recalls latter... Anyway I hope I get my call back...   I know I will be nice to whoevers on the other end of the line... cause sometimes you shouldn't shoot the messenger!!! Have a Great day!!!

I'm glad you feel that way but when you start getting all sorts of calls everyday from call centers and telemarketers I believe you'll change your tune and get pissed off at them.  If the messanger can't take the rude remarks or comments them get out of the kitchen and find a better job.

Got called twice by this number. We've never donated to this party and don't know why they are calling us. Thanks to Just Me for the info re: coding and re-calling later. If they call again, I am going to try to get as much information as possible - is there an imminent election, do they have a specific set amount, etc.

Received a call today.  They asked for my sister by name.  She is not listed as the owner of the phone.  This call was from the Conservative Party when you call back but there is just an answering service.  The individual making the call was of a south eastern asian accent.

A politcal party may not fall under the do not call list but the company that is supplying this service should not be offered this status.   This affects all Canadians.

ive seen what everones been saying and it all sounds about the same

Received two calls from this number during past week - second one was 5 minutes ago. Female caller first time, male caller second time. They both asked for someone who was a relative of my father's. I believe she lived in a town over 600 kms from here and passed away a few years ago.
