Asian sounding guy said he was Ryan Smith and there was a problem with our taxes and we needed to call back right away.

Yup. I just got the same call. Silliness. The accent of the caller did not match the name, e.g. Ryan Smith (English name....and super generic) and the accent was Eastern for sure. He didn't even identify Revenue Canada properly and he actually threatened me that if I didn't return the call I'd be in terrible danger. Does this scam actually work on anyone...?

Left the message on my answering machine, but did not verify who the message was for. Only mentioned his name: officer Ryan Smith from Revenue Agency. He said that we  need to have a lawyer to deal with our tax issue. Yeah right...nice try fake officer Scam!

Got the same call in Langley 10 minutes ago. Same guy, Same script, very threatening. You'd think he'd choose a better name?

Just got a call from Officer Ryan Smith - my response, "Nice try buddy" before I hung up.

I got also a call from Officer Smith and he threaten my with big Sanction for Tax Fraud if I do not call back
I called back to this # and they but my on hold so I hang up

Disregard calls from this phone number.
They tried to scare my clients.
Not first and I guess not the last scam.

Yes I came home to a voice mail from Officer Ryan to call CRA immediatley or our lawyer to deal with a tax fraud on my file..He did not ask for anyone by name..

Yes this scam does work or they wouldn't be doing it.  I've had several calls from this number and I just let it ring..

Just got the same message here in Langley BC. Your right the broken English and didn't ask for anyone by name. This is the second time I got something like this saying they were from cra. I wonder why they can't shut him down when everyone has his phone number.

Just got the same call, I'm in North Vancouver. Indeed the name doesn't match the accent, and very threatening; mentioning an arrest warrant against me for tax evasion/fraud.. wow!

I just got this message in Langley.  Same Ryan Smith but had an asian accent.

Just got this call yesterday in Langley - telling me to get a lawyer and call back with information as I was charged with tax fraud. I hung up.  - that was the 2nd call btw.  I hung up a few days before already.

Great, now the CRA has a new thing where the have " Nuckles"aka Ryan Smith call and threaten tax paying citizens. Nice try scum..I meant scam
