They contacted me at work. (I am the 'CCN' Company Computer Nerd.) It was a representative from Hewlett Packard pushing HP's new “Adaptive Infrastructure in a Box” blade server. He went on further trying to push other HP products as well. Since I’m the IT Manager, I get several computer related marketing calls in a week. It has gotten so bad that I let all my outside calls go directly to voice mail unless I know who is calling. I only picked up this time because they have been calling me every day for the past two weeks and never left a voice message.

If you have a company listing on Canada gov website, they call to verify from that number to see if your info is up to date. Very legitimate.

Got the same call from HP.  Def ignore it, sales pitch.

Calls every day two or three times, never leaves a message...  I never pickup...  think they'd get the hint!!@!$

Calls every few days for the past few months. I don't answer and voicemail is not left.  I'm an IT Manager at a large Canadian financial organisation.

It is from Industry Canada (Federal Government) checking on the accuracy of my company listing on their website.  Definitely a legitimate call.

When you press the caller they admit they are not really calling from Industry Canada but are working for a company that is being outsourced by them. Uh-hah... I wanna play a prank on these clowns. They interrupt my work ALL the time. Grrrr....but hey.... 2 can play this game. Next time they call...hehehehe... Im gonna have some fun with them... ;)

HP and other big shot companies hire very professional marketing firms such as the one from number 613 842 4155 to do their work for them. They have a legit multi-million dollar contract with them and if you want to save major major multi-millions of dollars I suggest u hear what the companies that all you “big shot”  “I got no time “ IT managers/directors already use their services and products because your bosses will love you for saving them so much money when you don’t even have to do anything but answer a couple questions

They Called, I picked up, No-one there!  Sorry, but I don't consider ANY phonecall marketing firms "PROFESSIONAL".  Is it not illegal to have a computer call numbers at random and overcall causing a person to answer the phone with no-one on the other end.  And YES, we do purchase from HP, but we have representatives that ARE PROFESSIONAL and let us know what kind of products could help us in our infrastructure that they already know about.  Not some chump in a call centre reading a script.

Do these calls stop? I receive them every day at about the same time (usually around 3pm) but I work full time so i never answer them.

am registered on the national do not call list but they continue to call - they have a message on their phone that does not identify them and I have left messages there for them to stop calling - it does not work

Got a call from this number, but did not pick up.  This is the second time they call.

Industry of Canada calling to confirm the information they have on file for my employer (address, phone number, contact, etc.). They called about a month ago and still had the same incorrect info. Also, both times they said they would send an email verifying the info -- still waiting for the email from the previous call.

Not answered. No message left.

I was told it was a call from Industry Canada and they were confirming our company info.  He read all the info to me, and I say yes.  Got a confirmation email within minutes afterwards with the following signature
