Same here, got a call from this number.

Got a phone call. No answer.

I also got this call while I was at one of my client's office. No message left, and can't get to know what this is all about.

I do suggest not to answer this call as this might be some sort of a trap or something. Better to prevent than trying to heal something like this. This might be fraudulent.

Also got a call last night, no voicemail.

I received and answered a call from this number. It was a call centre calling on behalf of RBC Credit Card services. They offered identity theft protection of some sort. I interrupted her spiel, told her I wasn't interested and hung up.

they also knew my name

got a call tonight from this number - our number is unlisted, restricted, etc.  No message and no one on the line.

It is a marketing firm called VRI, selling and marketing financial and insurance products

I recieved a call from this number this morning.  No one on the line. ???

We do deal with RBC for some things.  I'll have to wait for them to call back to tell them not to call anymore.  Thanks Everyone for your posts, so I know who it was. ;)

I TOO RECIEVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER BUT NO MESSAGE

Called my unlisted cell phone number at 12:51pm, no msg.

Same here everybody, I live in Toronto.  Got a missed call from this number at least twice. Somehow I couldn't pick it up for all those times, strange. Any clue what this number is for?  Anyone has actually talked to someone with that number?

Thanks!  Great information!  So now I know what it's for.  It's probably some called centre hired/used by RBC and some other financial groups.  That's why there could be more than one company involved.

I have received two calls in the past week from this number, both in the evening PST

Got a call on my cell phone just now from this number. I answered, no response and almost immediate hangup. God this pisses me off, especially if they are involved with RBC as I have several accounts there.

Someone living in Cornwall should get them on the phone, I would but it's long distance for me.

Called and spoke to my daughter at 10:05am May 7. They said they were calling on behalf of RBC. They asked for me by name and said they would call back. They also left a voicemail. Message on phone states it is a telemarketing call representing various financial/banking interests. The call is a outgoing number only.The company name is BRI.

my wife got a phone from this number, she said she is from RBC, she told my wife someone using her name to apply something,she asked my wife if she need some protection? my wife said yes. she told my wife she will send a mail to her and there is some charge.

my wife is so regretting saying 'Yes', we don't know what would happen.

banks or what ever......  

you can phone the number back and it says you can get taken off there list.....  who knows....    i have a rule if i dont   recognize the number  I dont answer it ..... if they dont leave a message   it couldnt have been that important......
