I called the 800 number listed by one of the posters. The woman who first answered said 'Big Rock' not Columbia House. I told her I keep getting harrasing phone calls and want my number taken off their list. She put me thru to someone called NANCY who said my phone number will be removed. I mentioned that these calls happen all day...no response from the other end. She claims it was the machine and sometimes there is a 'delay' before answereing blah blah. I told her I DO answer and wait and no one responds. Also told her that if I was paying good money to have the service I would ask for my money back as the system they use doesn't work and only makes people mad and who would even consider doing business with a company that harasses them from the start. I told her that if I or one of my kids was making such phone calls I would be charged with harrassement. Anyways I kept on talking despite the fact she was trying to get me off the line. She promised my number will be removed. We shall see..and if it isnt I will be calling again...and again....

The company is a telemarketing company doing business for various organizations on their behalf. I sent them an email with my complaints.
Their true business is probably promoting their Harassement & Stalking 101 program. But with these underhanded and annoying tactics I would never deal with any of the companies they might be promoting...

I myself have been receiving the same calls every night around 8:30pm also for several months from the telephone number 1-623-932-9493.  I googled the number and came across this fine site... Thank you very much to whomever posted the 1-800 number to have your number removed from their list... thank  you thank you thank you...

They call and say nothing so I hang up. This has been going on for weeks. Thanks for the 1-800 number.

This stupid # had been calling and calling 4-5 times a day and drive me crazy,even though I blocked the # from my cell phone, but still I could see there was ten thousand calls happen...how could they paid such much money to get all this s**t compliants....selling s**t and earn money? hollu cow such a freakin great business

I tried the 1-800, but all I got was a recording to leave a message.  I certainly don't want to leave a message and risk getting my number on their list twice, and then the calls will double.

Call twice a day, I never answer till tonight. They said they were with Random House and they tried to sell me Dr.Suess books ?

I also received these no answer calls from the 613 # and was getting a busy signal upon returning the call- thank-you for the 1-800 # everyone- I did remove my # from their calling list but am very tempted to call them 5x a day now and hang up on them-see how they like it!

i get the call at least 2 times daily. i have answered as well as left it to voice mail it hangs up both times.  i have contacted my lawyer regarding this as i have asked to be removed several times on there machine which is a beauty supply place or something they continue to call.  Yes they can get in trouble for this it is called harrassment.

Thank you for the 1-800 number. I've called it ,added my number to the Do Not Call List, and finally have some peace.I really can't thank you enough.

I just answered this and it's one of Columbia House's associates, Doubleday Book Club. I've told them, Columbia House and Beautyrock Telemarketing (who are working together in a new form of telemarketing triangle) to remove me from their calling lists. They've yet to listen.

I called the number back and the voice mail said it was "Beauty Rep?"   I left a message asking that they please stop calling my number or I would report this as we would answer the phone and there was noone there. Of course they kept calling so I googled the number, got the 1800-668-0077 from here and dialed.  The lady explained that they are a call centre working for a variety of companies and she was apologetic.  She said she will pass the information to management and have my phone number removed.  So for anyone who is tired of getting these calls (from this number)....please dial the 1-800 number. :)

I have been receiving these calls.....I phoned it back and got an answering machine about some beauty thing and to leave a message so I just asked them to take me off their list.  I also called the mentioned 1800 number, so I guess we will see what happens.

I have been called by this number 1 to 3 times a day for MONTHS, and they were driving me crazy, I would answer the phone, but nobody would ever answer.
Besides that when my answer machine would pick up the call, all it would record is a busy signal which would fill up my answer machine!

I called 1-800-668-0077 and talked to a rather pleasant lady who ensured that I would be removed from their list.
Next day I still got called twice... I sent an email to them and stated that they were filling up my machine, and that this was preventing me from receiving important calls from my employer. I also stated that I would be consulting legal council.
lets see if they call my bluff... because I am not bluffing.

OMG thank you soooo much for 1-800-668-0077...now the baby can finally sleep in peace. 613-932-3493 was calling 3-4 times a day with nobody on the other end.  so i did a little research through superpages and called the 800 # posted here. when they answered...they used the research co.s name...not columbia house or whatever co. their working for... just ask the polite lady who answers if you can be taken off their phone list and then you can look forward to no more annoying calls :)

I have been getting this call everyday, I seen that someone on here said that it was Columbia House.  I e-mailed them telling me to take them off their list.
Today I answered the phone call and it was a book company wanting to sell me childrens books...maybe they are affiliated with Columbia House?  Hopefully they stop calling now that I told them I wasn't interested.  It was calling at least 6 times a day/night!

Was getting calls from this number - every night at 8.30 - always wanting to survey for babies feeding habits.  I know where it came from - entered a draw in Toys R Us in my friends name to get the free product info but gave my cell number.  Just called and had them remove my number - thank you!  

Won't be giving my number out anymore!
