The Ohio State University called for donations.

Caller ID listed as The Ohio State University.  I did not pick up and they left no message.

I got a call from them. I'm so tired of them calling! I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

Ohio State University.  Called at 7pm on a Sunday and left no message. :/

Calls coming in for over a month 1 to 3 times a week listed "Ohio State Univ". After looking up the number here I did not answer.

Today they called at 1:10 PM EST. I told them I know this is a donation call and I am very unhappy by the huge number of times they called. She said "we sometimes call for donations" but that this call was an Alumni Update. She then proceeded to ask me about my time at OSU and what I am doing now.

Then she went back into asking for money. At this point I asked to not be called again and hung up.

They were misleading in the stated purpose of the call, and annoying in calling over and over and never leaving a message.

They've been calling me for over a month, about 3 times a week and never leave a message. I answered once and the person asked for me, and I said that she wasn't available and could I take a message and they said they were calling from the OSU Alumni Association. It is incredibly aggravating that they call so often. It really makes people NOT want to give money when they constantly harass with phone calls.

heh i used to work for OSU Calling when i was a student.  and now they call me all the time too.  if you get the chance you should talk to them even if you dont want to give.  it makes their day better.  i dont know if i got many donations while i was working but it was always nice to talk to alum from all over the country.  but i also am never around when they call

I hate getting mysterious calls on my cell phone so this was helpful in figuring out who was calling me.   Received a call and no message was left and I get them every so often.  I've talked to them before and said I couldn't donate.  Hell, I'm still a student.  I don't have any money to give!   It is very annoying and actually makes it less likely for me to give money in the future.

Got a phone call at almost 9pm from phone number 614-247-6239 on March 4. 2009

3/6/2009. My wife received a call from that phone number. No message was left. My wife usually doesn't give out her cell phone so it was strange. After reading the other posts it starts to make more sense since my daughter presently attends OSU, however she is only a senior and not an Alumni yet. Go Bucks!! O-H-I-O

I've gotten two calls from 614-247-6239:  First call, they did not leave a message.  Second call was on March 11th @ 6:59pm I answered and nobody said anything but I could hear what sounded like a ton of people in the background - like students changing classes or some event.  I tried to call that number back and they did not answer.  I have a relative that attends OSU.  Makes you wonder if someone is obtaining information that is listed on an application or the computer - who knows.  I see I am not alone with this phone number problem.

i took my last final 2 hours ago and they are already calling.  hilarious.

I have just recieved a call from them and there was no answer at the other end.  Don't know if this is normal.  Did not receive a call back.

They have called me at home twice now and every time I tried to call back it either rang busy or immediately after it would ring with no answer.  My mom says that she thinks they were asking for donations.  I didn't pay to go there and I'm not about to pay them now.

They have called me every week day since the first day of finals week. Jerks.

Had thin number on my caller id, couldnt figure out who it was, they left no message. I called the number back and got no answer. Glad I looked here, I'll know next time, not to answer. I am on the "do not call list" , guess it doesnt matter!

Do not call lists don't protect you from anyone you patronize. If you or a family member attend or ever have attended OSU then they can call you. It's actually pretty disappointing how many loopholes there are in the do not call act. They called my cell phone and asked for my mother. I gave them her number unknowingly. Good news is they stopped calling me, but now I feel bad knowing they are bothering her. Lame.

They just called and didn't leave a message. Sunday, 8:18 p.m.

BTW - I added OSU to my Facebook page about 2 weeks ago - so I'm figuring this is why I'm on their radar now...

Called me at 8:30 PM on a Sunday night, left no message. I'm an OSU annual-dues-paying alum but I guess they want MORE money!
