This number kept calling my work telling them that I was going to be arrested for a pay day loan I never took out.  They told them would call back every 10 minutes.

This is an Indian payday loan scam totally made up debt.Trying to extort a bogus debt hang up on them.

This number called me and said there was a complaint about. Took down the number and tried to call back and it said the number is not in service.

been calling my work for 3 days told girl I talk to when I call said they was cash advance but it took her 5 mins to tell me what company, my boss been taking the calls and the guy told her he was something something else he done [***] out my boss and every body at my job its a living hell at work but my boss did call the cops

Good for you and him! Your boss could also contact his phone service provider and see about getting them blocked as well.

You can also file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,CFB,FTC & FCC..

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

This number calls and calls saying they need to speak to so and so. I asked him who is this and he said Larry no last name no name of company. I told him quit calling, do not harrass me, and he said write my number down and relay this message or else I will continue to call you. The person they are calling for has no idea why or who this Larry guy is and when you call that number back its just a message saying to leave a message. I told Larry not to be calling this business and he was rude. /ANNOYED

I work at El cAmino Hospital and there is a person using this number to call one of our nursing units and harrass staff

They are calling for someone at work.  have called every minute for two hours.  we are calling the police

They called my work and my phone saying I owed them money for s pay day loan. They called me names the phone. They said if I don't pay them I'm going to be arrested.So should I pay them.

You can not be arrested for owing a debt.. its a civil matter, not criminal! Slim is right, please read through my posts above , especially your rights and about the scam operations.

This person keeps calling my house and my husband at work every 10 minutes or so. My husband is going to lose his job if this doesn't stop. Please help to find this person so that it STOPS!

Hear that sound? That is 1000 lawyers trying to find your phone number if your company fires your husband. He is a victim of a crime. File a police report & then have him talk to the legal department of his work.

They have been calling me for 4 day know and when I ask them for the paperwork of the loan that I got (not true) they say that after I pay they will give me everything and they have been verry mean

NO!  This is a total scam.  Report this to police.  This is a payday loan / bill collector scam.

They are obligated to send you by US mail a formal demand for payment.  That is, if they are legitimate bill collectors.  But they probably aren't.  They are just criminals.  Make a police report.  Otherwise ignore 'em.

Just keep calling back the number with *67 in front it.  Insult them, play loud music anything you can do to make them annoyed.  I just kept calling to tie up their lines.  The more we fight back the faster they'll get tired of trying.

I've never taken out a payday loan so I'm not sure why these people are calling me.  I have however been using my number online for home insurance quotes so maybe the websites have sold my information.  I live in a 614 area code and assumed it was someone in regards to a home I'm trying to purchase but they were very rude and started asking about a pay day loan.  I hung up.
