Caller ID just had "I" Ummm what??? Not answering.  EVER

Calls repeatedly & never leaves message .. must be spam

Called just before 9 PM, asked for me by first name then hung up.  Caller ID shows "I".  My number is unlisted so wonder how he got my name?

Called AGAIN This time they spoke "Hello, are you there?"   DUH No you were talking to an answering machine.  

My Caller-ID said-----CHARITY

I highly doubt that this is accurate.  Without second thought, one would think, telemarketer, SCAM, some first class piece of s*h*i*t, or other untrustworthy entity.  Oh, just another person that I want to cut off their b*a*l*l*s and put them in a jar on my mantle.

For those new to this system, if you use a (*) between letters the system will not censor your thoughts.

Called today @ 4:58pm - did not leave a message.  While I'm not positive, I believe this is a spam call...the generic name "Charity" kind of gives it away.  I've had my new landline phone number for less than 2 weeks...these guys work fast.

They claim to be soliciting donations for the Sheriffs and Police departments, but I never give to any phone solicitations.  You never know which ones are legit and which ones are scams.

If you wish to donate to a charity, donate directly to it, not to some scam artist on the phone.

Called, asked for me by my name to my husband, when told I'm not here, was rude and hung up.

Answering machine picks up and they say "Hello?" and then use my first name.  Getting annoying!

I got the same call two days in a row, and no one has my phone number.... I just had it hooked up on Friday .... no one absolutely no one has my phone number, So how they got my name and number, IDK.... I use frontier for my phone. And I'm very upset, they used my 1st name as well.....

They came to be The National sheriff organisation trying to get donations from officers who have died in the line of duty for the deceased family members

Received a call on Sept.17,2015 around 7:43 pm. Is George home? told no and wouldn't say a word but caller did hang up. Very rude voice and wife was frightened from caller and no speaking. This phone number is on the "Do not call list."

This professional solicitor / harasser called me on April 7, 2016. This was the third time that he (same person) called in a couple of weeks.  I looked through my caller id and I could not find this number in my caller id log.  The first time that he called, I hung up the phone. The second time that he called, I asked him to remove my name from the call list. When he called today, I told him that this was the third time that he had called and that I wasn't going to give him any money. I asked him to remove my name from the call list.  He kept talking. I cussed at him.  It takes a real moron to keep calling a person, to solicit a donation, when the person has no intention of giving a donation. He did identify himself as a professional solicitor who represents a police and troopers association.  I wonder if this is a legitimate charity?  If it is not a legitimate charity then the state attorney general's office might be able to investigate and press charges. If the Ohio Attorney General's office reads this post, this charity needs to be investigated. I didn't bother to try to call the number. If the number was spoofed, then it is most likely a scam. The guy is polite and articulate. He addresses the person by using the person's first name. He probably convinces quite a few people to send in money. It's amazing how many people will send money to someone (who you don't know) who represents an organization (that you have never heard of) who calls you and asks for money. Today, I found out that one of my relatives fell for the "Grandparent's scam" recently. Many thanks to the people who are running this web site. Knowledgpowerpower!
