Received phone call on my cell from #614-417-6808.  A rapid speaking woman's voice announced she was calling from "???? Pre-Trial???? and a case has been filed against you, press 1 to speak to an investigator." Then the call disconnected. I called the number back and "Mark" answered and claimed to not be able to tell me who it is he works for.  Wanted to look up the number I was called on and then he could tell me.  I said, "Really, you don't even know who you work for?" He advised me to have a nice day and hung up.

Pre-trial processing appears to be a fancy name for debt collector.

Refusing to give a company name - would a real, legitimate company do that - and then hang up on you??

I have had the same message on the phone from the same fast talking woman every time. Something about check fraud division and how me or my retained attorney need to call and if I don't, I am supposedly waiving my right to counsel and I need to "Govern myself accordingly." And the same woman has called from different numbers and has used different names but when I answer my phone, an automated thing comes on about pressing one to speak to an investigator and when I press one (because I am tired of being harassed over a scam) it just disconnects me. I have no business in Ohio and I have no outstanding accounts. They obviously don't even know my name because when they call, it's just a general message and they can't even say who they represent. Bunch of scammers with nothing better to do than rip innocent people off.

They all leave the same message almost word for word so it is my best guess that these numbers are all connected. Since they never identify who they want to speak with I don't return their calls. My phone isn't in my name and I don't give out the number so if my number is a recycled number all I can do is assume they're calling for some one else. Either way I refuse to deal with people who won't identify themselves or name the person they are calling for.

I've been getting a call from the same above number but when I pressed "1" I got an actual person who tells me i charges against me for a loan I supposedly took out 3 or 4 years ago. They can't tell me who the loan was through or the loan amount. But what really scares me is they have my social security number and my date of birth. The address they had on file was from 3 years ago. The guy did say something about a company called LSG...no clue who that is. I never took a loan out. I don't know what to do.

They keep calling leaving a message that if I don't respond they will say I declined a Layer... WHAT????? REALLY!!!! Well I call this number back and it says it's not a working number..... Stop calling I'm in no TROUBLE!!!

I keep getting the same message and when I call back I get a man each time with a different name.  When I ask them to send me the issue in writing they tell me they can't and get rude and nasty.  I have asked repeatedly that they not call my cell number again and then the next day I get the same message.  I am tired of trying to make them stop.  Today I got the one about forfeiting my rights to legal council.  Somebody please advise as to what I should do.

I got the same call as Angie did. I got an actual person and she tried to tell me that it was for a loan or unpaid interest on a loan that I had that was link to my name and social. Scary part is she had my social, place of employment but the address was for a place we haven't lived in for 4 years and the bank account that it was supposedly set up with was for a B of A account that I had over 10 years ago.  They said it was about check fraud division and how me or my retained attorney need to call and if I don't, I am supposedly waiving my right to counsel and I need to "Govern myself accordingly" and that criminal charges would be brought against me and my employer would be notified. They said the company was Advance LLC and they were representing them and did not have the particular information on the loan amt, date or anything. They tried to set up a settlement amount but would give me exact information on what it was for. When I said I wasn't paying a settlement and that I need to know more information, she said that I would have to talk to a judge about it.
This makes me a little nervous and scared since they say that my employer would be notified that I was being charged with check fraud and negligence and that I was being reported to the IRS. I'm totally at a lost of what to do.

Its LLC. Means limited liability company. I have reported and filed a report with my local police. I got verbally abused when i got a person on the phone. Scammers.

Had the same call from a woman, claiming check fraud and if I didn't contact them I wave my right to counsel.  That statement in itself is a load of [***].  You can not give up your rights to an attorney without ever being in a court.  This is an outright scam.  Others have stated they mentioned a "settlement" they want you to pay.  Don't give them anything they won't send you anything in the mail because then it is mail fraud and a felony for them (and the postal service WILL find and prosecute them) and if it was legitimate sending you paperwork wouldn't be a problem.  The funny part on my case is I don't have any bank accounts to write a check on, I pay for everything in cash.  I don't think it is even a debt collector because I have no outstanding debt either.  Report it to the police, it's nothing but pure scam.

The Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act states that debt collectors must send consumers a written notice within five days of the first collection phone call, stating the amount of the debt and what it relates to. Debt collectors cannot state or imply that failure to pay a debt is a crime. They cannot call before 8:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. They cannot harass or abuse consumers, or contact consumers' places of employment.  So this is a scam and nothing more.

i keep getting this calls....i have not had a checking acct in over 5 years and have no checks out/and no old debit....i keep blocking the numbers.I can i stop this number from calling me...and i am on the do not call list

I keep receiving treating calls from this number indicating "trouble" Waive the right to a lawyer". They talk so fast I cannot understand them. I want these calls to stop.

I been getting the same harassing phone calls saying the exact same thing. I went down to my local police department and they were able to confirm that its a scam and I am in no legal trouble. It is scary that they have such personal information. Keep an eye on your credit reports for suspicious activity incase they try to steal your identity. Let them call me just one more time... they have picked the wrong woman to harass.

I am getting the same call from Jenifer Page 614/417-6808 horrible messages. I applied for a loan online and found out later that it was a scam. I am wondering if this is connected.This must be a scam. Word for word same message as I have read above. Please report this matter to www.IC3.gov and call the Federal Trade 1-877-382-4357. I was recommended to place a freeze a my credit (90 day fraud alert), change bank account info

Dana, it is a scam.  They say they will show up at your place of employment to serve me.  No service processor calls you to say they will be there.  I get the same message from a Ms. Byrd, rebecca Outlaw and now Jennifer page.  I just ignore them.  When I see the vm alert, I delete.  I also block as many of the numbers as I can.  The best thing is to report it to the FTC.

they say the are working for company call LLC checking advance place and that i have worthless federal check ,in 2010 and want payment 225.00 when call. this happern 3 times already , ive never used company but have address,email,social security number.and try using bank account that closed. i have message on phone about filing papers, over state lines. andneed my attoney call back.

Everyday at 8:01 am I get a call from these people. I answered it twice and all I received was an automatic message. I've been getting calls since mid-Febuary every single weekday. I called back and got some guy named Mark who immediately hung up on me. I can't get them to stop calling me no matter how many times I block all of their numbers. THIS IS A SCAM EVERYONE! PLEASE DON'T SEND THEM ANY MONEY!

Yeah Ms. PAGE called and left a voice message.  You need to called back with in a hour with legal representation if I don't she will turn my case over to the states attorney..  i better govern myself accordingly.  Really these ppl are sick.  Tell Rebecca  Outlaw, Bob Regan now Ms  Page I gave her cell number 770 463 004 to my employer as I actually work for a Government Agency.  All I hope I help all of us that are being harassed.

This is a scam for money!  They called me 4 times in the last 2 days saying that I was in non-compliance with fraud and that I must have my attorney call their investigator as the state has a case against me.  And, if I don't comply I will be facing legal court.  What a bunch of bs....
