Identified themselves as Reliant Capital Solutions. They tell me that I owe $14,000 in tuition to Purdue University from 2007. I did not attend Purdue University in 2007, I withdrew in 2006 and am currently enrolled at another institution. Beware this company as they have a shaky track record

They have called me twice in the past 10 minutes. I don't answer because it is not a number that I recognize. I did google as someone named Travis left a voice mail message. If they are a true bill collector, they are not the first to call me...get in line.

Constantly calling my phone. I dare not answer, because then tey'd know they have a working number. I believe this isa telemarketing call, and that they are calling HOLES, old telemarketing term referring to the UNLISTED numbers. That is where most TM's used to get their sales.

I only just bought this phone one month ago, it is not connected to my name or any other info, it is a pay as you go phone.

They called me saying they believe I'm a relative or acquaintance of a Patricia Coss...? And that they were trying to get in contact with her. Never been to OH and most certainly do not know a Patricia. Won't answer and won't call back. I know how these companies work.

This is a legit bill collector.  They are contracted from the state Attorney General's office, as well as Colleges and Universities to collect on unpaid taxes, misc state bills, and student loans.   If you are getting a call from them, pretty good chance you owe somebody something, so you might want to answer as they will not give up until you've made arrangements to set up a payment schedule.

Called my mother and then me. About 4k I owe to university. Sorry dudes, I already owe the government 20K from student loans, shouldn't charge so much for tuition or maybe I would have the money to pay with solely my life-sucking federal loans. America, land of the free...

For the privacy of this person I will not give out her name. But this company needs to stop. I'm so tired of all the calls. They don't care what day or time either. They called me yesterday a Sunday at 7am. And another thing is that you can never get a real human...

These folks just called me about some money that I owed a college from 1991!  I told them sorry, that this debt was out of the statue of limitations, that I can't be sued for it, and that it can't be put on my credit report.  I told them to leave me alone and not call back.  That's from another lifetime ago, did they actually expect to collect anything?

you, like so many, think you can go to school and not pay for it like the rest of us hard working people.   Always wanting something for nothing.  If you couldn't afford the tuition, you shouldn't have signed the loan papers!  No sympathy here!

While it’s tempting to portray these individuals as dastardly villains out to wreck lives — and historically some of their behaviors have been less than admirable — it’s important to remember one fact: Nobody is forced to borrow money.
Ultimately, if you owe a debt, it’s because you made the choice to borrow money. Your lender made that loan, or offered the credit line, contingent upon your promise to pay it back.  Your creditors do have a right to their money, and a debt collector is simply trying to reclaim what is legally and ethically owed by you.

IF, and only IF, it is a real debt, and a collectable one by Law. Millions of Americans are being called by foreign/domestic criminals trying to extort money on fake loans. Bottom dwellers are buying up zombie debt for 1 cent on the dollar. They using illegal/criminal means to try and collect. I would like to point out that calling person's that have had debt discharged by bankruptcy is illegal. While calling the living relative of the deceased is not illegal, it doesn't pass the smell test. Who are you, or I kidding here? Debt collection has become a slimy business driven by profit.

These [***] call me and even address me by name. then ask for someone I have never met or know or have ever known in my entire life. They claim it's not a solicitation yet I get the feeling that is a pile of BS. Do not answer their phone calls it is a waste of your time and theirs.

We used to get calls from someone who left messages saying they were calling about a debt. I don't know if they called from this number, but we have been getting a lot of calls from this number now, and no messages have been left. We don't respond to anyone calling to collect debts because we have excellent credit ratings and have no unpaid or overdue loans. Some years ago we were harassed by a company claiming we were dead beats and refusing to pay back a debt, but back then we had excellent credit scores, too. so we knew they were mistaken. That company refused to tell us where they got our name, our number or to justify their harassment in any way. Only when I told them I was keeping a log of their calls, that I knew they are calling outside legal hours and unlawfully often, and that I was going to contact my state's attorney general's office did they stop calling. If, as one poster in this thread claims, this is a legitimate company, their calling so frequently without leaving a message constitutes harassment in my mind.

They keep calling me and never leaving a message. If what I read is true then I don't know why they are calling me. I never went to college, so I don't owe tuition. And nor do I owe any taxes. So wish they would stop

Called (from an anonymous number) claiming that I owed money (over 7k) to Steven's University for my graduate studies.  Complete bull!  I work full time, and my company provides tuition reimbursement.  I told them that I would follow-up with the school directly (you never know, maybe I missed something), and the woman (Ros) became very hostile claiming that it was already in collections and that I had to pay via credit card at that time.  I thanked her for her time and hung up.  I then followed-up with the school directly, and guess what **I didn't owe anything**.   I work hard, avoid debt and have an excellent credit score.  I even helped my family members pay for their schooling, and I really have to encounter this non-sense.  BEWARE!!!!
