Received a call on my cell number from this number and when I answered they hung up. Called the number back on landline and they answered HRRG. What's HRRG I ask.  Man who answered said Healthcare Revenue Recovery Group. I do not have any unpaid medical bills I stated. They said well give me the number you got the call on and I will respond better. i said "no" I will google your number to see what's up and whether there are harassment complaints against your company.  I am not giving you any information and he then hung up on me.

This number has called twice in last couple of months at least once a month. I refuse to answer my phone when I do not have a clue who it is. I do not live in Ohio. Makes it worse when they call they never leave a message to verify who they are. Its getting very annoying. I start to think its someone pranking my phone. Please make them stop bothering me.

I received a phone call from this number and they knew the information about when we went to the emergency room so I felt good about it. They knew information that nobody else would know. The lady on the phone was very nice. I googled the 800 number she gave me to call back, and she gave me the web address of the company and all of the log in information to see what I was paying. hrrgcollections.com. This is not a scam.

It is a debt collector, I have debts that have been referred to them. It is possible that someone gives your phone number instead of their own, so keep that in mind to.

I am not an employee, it's just equally annoying to receive the calls after you have informed them that you are, in fact, completely, broke.

    It's HRRG. Ignore it, mostly.

This isn't a scam. It's HRRG and I do owe them a small sum of money for medical bills but I cannot pay them at the moment which I explained but they continue to call.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.
