- AbigailAnswered the call. Woman said it was a personal business matter and asked for the last 5 of my social. No thanks!
- MarkSaid it was CBCS which stands for Credit Bureau Collection Services
- Caller: CBCS
- Call type: Debt collector
- RODNEYCalled me three times in 20 minutes, no VM 2 times. I answered on the 3rd. She asked for my SSN without telling me who she was or what she wanted. After repeated attempts to find out who she was calling with to no avail, I disconnected the call.
- HollyJust got a call from this number it said nothing but plz wait for a operator so I hung up
- Caller: 614-610-4454
- DebbieGot a call from this number literally like 3 minutes ago, I answered, no one said anything, and they hung up. I looked it up and found this forum, so I figured I would share what just happened.
- MThey called and talking in a really fast voice told me what I thought was a comapny name and the persons name they were looking for. I asked her to repeat that. She said this is a personal business matter. I told her she had the wrong number then. If who you and where you are from is confidential why am I gonna talk to you and give you any information? People have the craziest jobs. #NoThanks #Blocking Number
- Caller: 6146104454
- VThey left a message that was a string of numbers, but it was not a phone number when I tried to call. I called them and the person wanted me answer questions without saying who they were
- JayceePerson stated they were with CBCS and her name is Chemil; the call is being recorded for quality control. They first want your name to verify if you're the correct person. So I hung up; don't call and say I'm being recorded before you tell me the reason of you're call.
- Caller: CBCS
- Call type: Debt collector
- SUEThis is CBCS, a debt collector. Either set your phone to block the # or to send the call directly to VM. they call me several times a week and I have yet to get a voicemail from them. Good luck!!
- Caller: CBCS
- Call type: Debt collector
- Dave"Hello, it is important that we speak to you, please remain on the line for the next available operator..." - ya, right. Nuisance call. I read other posts that said it's a debt collector, but I don't owe anyone anything and I just got a new phone number, so there's no way this call was for ME - it was for anyone who would answer. I wish we could vote people off the planet.
- ccThey are rude and blow your phone up none stop. They keep calling back to back.... Just leave a mucking message they don't do that.... Therefore if they trying to collect dedt then you would think they leave a message or send you a letter. I'm blocking them.
- Dave| 2 repliesI decided to call this number back and actually got her on the phone, and she started asking questions and dodging all of mine, speaking quickly and glossing over everything until she could get to asking another question. I kept pushing for info - "what is the purpose of your call?" - "well, tell me your phone number first" - "no, you called me and I'm returning your call to ask why you have called me several times a day lately" - "we provide information to businesses" - "okay, what information did you intend on providing to me when you called?" - "well if you tell me your phone number".
I told her one thing - that I had reported her to the FCC and filed a complaint against her phone number for nuisance calls. Then I blocked her number.
This is not actually a debt collector - people like this use that story to scare people into giving information in the hopes that they'll learn that they don't actually have a debt collector chasing them. Scumbags.- Caller: CBCS
- Call type: Debt collector

http://www.insideedition.com/investigative/93 ... debt-collectors - BridgetFor everyone that is upset that they won't answer any questions, they are not legally allowed. Unless you are the person they are trying to collect from and you verify that with your personal information, they cannot tell you anything. If they are calling the wrong number, tell them that. They cannot call again once you tell them it is the wrong number.
- MaryThey are very unprofessional. They called my work number and left a message, sort of. When the music stopped, a lady was like 'hello', then preceded to still have a conversation with the person next to her. and about every sentence, she said ' hello' 'hello', then continued talking to the work neighbor. never left a real message or gave the call her full attention.
