Call asking for someone who use to have this number (who is a friend of mine) claiming that they are calling about a loan application. Refuse to give imformation on who they are when i ask instead was annswer with other question. When I told them to stop calling and hang up. The idiot actually call back and ask for my supervisor!?
The next day I got a call again and when I ask for information they were avoiding it. When I pushed for an answer this time they said the name of my friend is doing business with them and if I am taking a message.
In consistant answer on who they are and what they are calling for.

Caller refuses to provide company name or reason for call.  Ask to verify last four of social security number, and to verify address.  STRONG possibility for attempted fraud, do not provide this information.

Received a call from the above phone number [614-717-4395] looking for my son, who hasn't lived with me in over four years.  She said it was the only number she had for him, if I had a number for him, would I give it to her.  I said that if she had a number where he could make contact I would pass it along to him, should he contact me any time.  She gave an 800 number [I shredded the paper with it on] with her extension and her name, Beatrice Wiley.  The matter she was phoning about was dealing with a federal investigation.

Well, my son did contact me shortly after that, I told him about the call and he said he had the same woman leave the same message on his current number.  I wondered if it was a ruse by someone doing collection "follow-up."

Received a call from this number three times (about a minute apart each)while at my work. Both times, the person hung up after a few rings, so it didn't go to voicemail.

Received a phone call late in the evening and a man left a garble message.  It did not sound legitimate, so I did not return the call.  Man sounded menacing and threatening.

Brock from OSI called saying my wife (aged 70+) had submitted a student loan application for University of Hawaii and needed more information--- Definitetly suspisious, especially since we had a break in and much of our banking information was stolen...

Called asking for me by name.  Wanted to verify it was me by giving him my birthdate.  He would not tell me who he was at first.  He would not tell me the nature of his call.  he refused to give me any information whatsoever.  He told me that I would "Pay the price" if I did not give him the information. Generally, all-in-all he was a real [***].  He said his name was Justin from OSI. He said that he had talked to me in the past and that if I were John that I would remember him.  When I finish my research on this number I am going to remove his testicles with a spoon.

Someone from this number has called my twno business phone lines and home line for well over a month despite being told to stop calling.  They ahve left content in voice messages that clearly violates federal and state law.

This number keeps on calling me!! the first time i answered they told me i was approved for a loan!!!  does anybody know who this is???

They finally left a non-descript voicemail, calling me by name like I was a "friend", and asking me to call Christal (my spelling) at: (877) 716-5189 ext: 5189

3 or 4 calls with refusal to acknowledge who they work for....rude and demanding to speak with me by name.  Have told them repeatedly to not call
number.

I got a call, could not hear everything that was said, air was on, but they were very rude to my 6 yr old who answered the phone, they stated, they were colleting money form back in 1999 and that the case just came to them..sounds suspicios to me, I said I was not paying it..they hung up on me.

Also, if they claim that they're trying to collect a debt from 1999 then the Statutes Of Limitations may have already expired and they really can't do a thing to you. To make sure you might want to get a copy of your credit report to see when the last payment was made on the bill. Then, check to see how long it is from the last time that a payment was made for your state's Statutes Of Limitations to expire.

I've had experience with this before. I've been divorced since 2002 and have had a "junk debt collector" call me about a debt from 1998 that was not covered by my ex-husband's bankruptcy because it had both of our names on it. However, the Statutes Of Limitations for the state of Texas is 4 years so that means that it expired in 2002 and they can't do a thing.

calling for my ex who is listed as missing. Wouldn`t give me any info when I asked , I think that they said osha and that my cell number was on the application. Odd cause my cell number I have had since Oct. And he has been gone almost 3 years.

I had someone call me today asking about my ex , we divorced 3 years ago. he was reported missing 2 years ago thru the sheriffs dept from our children . Imagined my surprise when they said they got my number from an application. I could see if the call came thru my home phone but it came thru my cell phone , a number I have only had for about 7 months so the ex never new I had this number. When I question more about why they wanted to talk to him , he quickly changed the subject, I told them that we were divorced and the sheriff dept had him as missing he couldn`t wait to get off the phone.

I had this number call me twice within the past 2 days.  Once at 614-791-4595 yesterday about 4:30 and I didn't answer because I didn't know the number, then 614-717-4395 just called about 2 minutes ago.  Neither time did they leave a message, so next time they call I will answer and find out what they want.  I'll post more details if they call, or if I get in touch with anyone from these numbers.

I finally found out who this number is from.  It is from a company called Outsourcing Solutions or OSI.

I have student loans that are in the "rehabilitation" program, and I'm nearing the end, so they kept calling and only leaving a voicemail with the first name of someone to call back, without identifying the company.  She stated that they are not allowed to leave their Company Name.  There is a toll free number they gave me to call back: 877-716-6788

They say they are contacting you because you have applied for a loan, they will not identify themselves or give you a return contact name or number. Which is illegal for a bank, collection agency or anything else to do.

This is not a collection agency, it is a company that helps other business's find employees
