It is not Chase Bank. Asked for my routing number and account number. Told them i would not give that information without a Chase ID. So I was told to call Chase Customer Service, which i did. Chase said that number is not associated with their corpoarate offices or any branch.

    Not chase bank!

    Beware!

This is most likely a phishing scam, carefully designed to trick people into revealing personally identifiable information, which could be used to compromise the safety and security of your financial accounts. Do not share any information with people calling from this number!

    You've been warned!

    simple, is it really?
I researched this number  and I have also walked into Chase Bank for them to confirm if  614-890-1025 was a good number, they looked it up and said NO! that number was not a Chase Bank number. And when I received another call from that number  i picked up, i started questioning them, what state and city are you located out of? do you have an ID#? What is the address of the bank your calling from, what is your manager name and can i speak to them, i also let them know, i had looked up the number and went to Chase to confirm  that phone#. And then i heard silence, nothing, they had hung up, they didn't give me the common courtesy of  a click, lol..lol.. i thought she was looking up the information. NOPE!! this is a FRAUD!!! Be careful, its hard out there for those of us that are trying to make an HONEST LIVING, or at least keep our money safe, just for some one else, to try to take it. Be very careful

Most posters here would actually be correct!

I get calls from this number on a regular basis, and I don't even bank with Chase.  I never have, and I probably never will.

I find local credit unions to be much more attractive than larger banks, any day.

I feel bag for whoever falls for the unsolicited calls, though.  Hopefully someone finds a way to stop them.  I hate to imagine just how many people have been victimized by the criminals behind this number who are running the operation.

Be smart, and stay safe people.

Received 2-3 missed calls from this number - called it back and it was answered by Chase Bank Automated System, Answered the Call the next day - A lady identified herself as calling from Chase Bank - gave me her name - her ID number - and the recorded message spiel - then gave me recent pertinent info about my commercial bank account (which had been negative for 2 weeks due to a large jobsite accident) and never asked me for anything other than when I would be able to make account current.  I told her the first insurance payment was due in a week and she made a note on my account giving me 3 weeks to bring account current before it closed.  Not a scam.

Well, even if that were true...   It is still possible that there are people out there who could be cloning this number and using it to PHISH personal information from people with the ultimate goal of scamming them. Just because any given number shows up on your Caller ID, doesn't mean it's from the actual party they claim to be. I received a call from this number just a week or two ago from a man with a foreign accent (unidentifiable), claiming that my chase account had been compromised and that to confirm that I was the intended party, all I had to do is relinquish all kinds of information such as name, address, acct number, last four digits of SSN, etc.  The funny thing is, like the guy further up in this page I dont bank at chase either.  I use wells fargo, who I've never overdrafted with.
So this indeed IS A SCAM. Or at least my incident was. Don't be a victim.  I'm sure you are telling the truth, and you indeed actually did have a legitimate interaction with chase pertaining to your personal account, but that doesnt mean that other people here didn't actually have a phishing scare.  THen again, you could actually be a scammer who came across the comments regarding this phone number and could be completely fabricating your remarks, just to dupe the people into trusting this number.  Just sayin'!

Its really sad that we live in this world. I would like to say its a scam but my account has been overdrawn for about 2 weeks and Im positive its Chase calling to find out whats up. Im sure in previous stated instances it is possible this number could be cloned but more than likely they have the wrong number on their customers account. With that in mind you should always be smart with your personal info and if you dont have any association with the company calling then you have nothing to worry about. ☺

Sorry Eddie, but nobody believes you.  This is just the same old gang of white collar crooks who go around targeting the customers of large-scale financial institutions.

You're most likely part of that gang.

I mean, who do you think you are fooling?  Look at how the thread started.  Somebody posted out of the blue that the number is legitimate.  Why'd that person do that?  Because he has a good heart?  No.  I don't think so.

OK .  You're stupid and  a criminal, but let me try to explain it to you.

Take a ;look at the first post on this thread.

It's  the radar signature of this  scam.

Change your MO Eddie, this one doesn't work.
