When you call this number you are told that the sprint mailbox for 407-920-5392 is full. Then later in the day someone calls you back saying they are Volunteer Energy Services and they can save you 25% off on your gas. When you tell them that you want to think about it they give you the 614-947-1432 number and tell you to ask for an extension #, to speak with Thomas or any one of several other names. There is no extension when you call back. I have received around 100 calls from other people that they called and give my number to (telling them that is is a Columbia Gas number when it is not) and people are now calling me asking to speak with Thomas and think my number is for Columbia Gas which it is not and so after 3 days of these calls, I have called the BBB, KY Public service commission, who finally put me in touch with someone from Columbia Gas who is investigating and trying to stop this insane scam. I am not giving out my number as I am tired of being harassed by who ever is trying to scam people and giving my number as if it is Columbia Gas and it is not. It is ashamed that it has taken me three days to try to find someone to help get this stopped. Do not give anyone any info if they call about Gas Suppliers unless it is really Your Supplier. Call Columbia Gas if you can get through to some one on their unuser friendly phone routing system and report this if it happens to you.

if these [***] call you, it is a scam, and report to the police. get as much info as possible.  they just called me over a past due gas bill.  well, just so happens that these dumb [***] called the wrong person.  i happen to have an all electric home and have for 14 years and have never ever even had gas service. i told them off in a very harsh way and now am off to the do not call registry to file a complaint against them.

Gas company? I dont even pay my gas my landlord does so as far as i'm concerned they can take that phone and shove it really far up where the sun dont shine. So effin sick of these ppl calling me when I am
clearly on the DO NOT CALL list.

Normally most spam callers a digit choice to be removed. When I called I was transfered to a full mailbox. Then as a previous comment posted above, I was immediately called back. This time a polite individual called back, described himself as a floor supervisor for the Duke Energy company. Continuing, he agreed to help me by assuring I would be taken off of this call list.

If you don't see a note from "Ole-man", again. Then, at least I was taken care of or kilt!

Now, they are posing as a phone company. Scott called asking who handles the phone bill. I hung up. No time for telemarketers or scammers. They can't beat free anyway.

I'm sorry...how did they MAKE you do anything? I mean...how can anyone force you to change your gas provider over the phone?

It's a sales call...they can't make you do anything you don't want to do.

The caller left a voice mail message with our organization, saying he was from Duke Energy - it was about our bill - to call back, and have a copy of our bill in front of us. No other information was provided, which I felt was not right, since calling back the number would have cost us a long distance charge. For a telemarketing scam! This really makes me angry. I ran a check on the call back number, and discovered the information on this site. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the people that created and maintain this very helpful site! You have saved us time and money!
