The main number where I work received a voicemail message from this number. The voicemail was forwarded to me because the person referenced something about records (attorney of records?). A woman who sounded Caribbean was calling about someone (name I couldn't make out) and was using very threatening tone and language. I'm guessing this is another one of those phone scams to scare people into paying money for debts that don't exist. I'm reporting this right away.

Got the same call with Indian feller who  said I was going to be arrested and taken downtown to the big house.  He said I owed a debt from American Cash (I'm assuming this is a payday loan company) which I never had.  When I told him that I have not heard anything about this, he started reading from a script, tell me what was going to happen if I didn't pay.  When I asked for acct #, address to their office, ect. he got real rude and hung up on me.  I tried call back, the guy that answered called me a f**king criminal and hung up.  I tried calling back a third time and all I get is a busy signal as if they are blocking my calls.  Tried to call back several times to get proof of debt with no success.  It is my belief that this is a scam.  Any real debt collector has to send a letter in the mail or give you an address to request verification of debt.  I have been down this road before with a collector saying that the original company was suing me and they were the middle man handling it.  I actually called the original debtor and found out that they can't sue me because to sold the account.  After going through 8 different collection agencies ( all which had sold to the next one) I finally got to collector that was making threats.  Don't let these people bully you around.  If they will not provided the information that you requested, 99 percent of the time they are frauds.  They have laws they are supposed to follow in collections, and if they don't follow them, you can sue them.  keep that in mind when you talk to them and do your research.  It will save you in the long run.

Got the same call about 5 minuties ago. The man sounded Indian and would not provide me any information of where the Law office was located. He did provde the Collin's Law office. I asked him what was the account number, date loan was taken and was there every anything sent in the mail and he hung on me. I am very annoyed!!!!   I can not believe they can do this to people and get away with this.

Just received a call from 615-326-4026, definitely a foreigner with the name of Mark Johnson.  Pretty comical in the way he read his script.  Getting very frustrated from the calls i'm getting at work from them.  A co-worker answered one of the calls and told him that I was unavailable and that he could go to my voicemail and he told her that he had already called and left a message and that it was an emergency that i contact him.  

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

hi annoyed yeah at first I thought it was for real because he gave a lawyer address and everything so I thought it was for real and I called that lawyers actual number and found out it was a scam

hello everyone so I got a call from this number yesterday saying that some attorney by the name of Christopher Collins is suing my husband for a loan of $600 from usa cash loans which we have never gotten so I called the actual lawyer and he said it was a scam and that they r trying to figure out how to stop them so if they say that the Collins laws firm is suing u ignore it.

I got the same call and it was a female. has anybody reported them?

This is the actual attorney from the Collins Law Office.  This is a TOTAL SCAM!!! We do not handle business in this manner.  We are working with the authorities to put an end to it.  I'm sorry this is happening.  

Mr. Collins thanks for posting this clarification here for consumers, and I am sorry to hear the name of your practice is being besmirched by these criminals.

If you could post some suggestions on how victims of this particular group should proceed it would be a tremendous contribution.

I got the same phone call today.  They said I owed Cash Net USA.  They called at my work.  When I got home I called Cash Net USA and asked if I in fact had an account and if so what was the standing.  They said there was no bad account in my name and that this was a SCAM.  The so called Collins Law firm said that I would be arrested tomorrow.

Thank goodness!  They told me I was going to be arrested.  I have no idea who these people are, and they would not provide me with anything written.  I told them that if indeed I were being sued, they could serve the paperwork to me in person.

I received a call from that 615 336 4026 number today at work the guy had a Indian accent. He stated that I owed american cash USA money and they are pressing criminal charges against me for fraud ,theft, and some more stuff. When I started asking question like when was the loan received? Give me the lawyer name and number that's handling the case? He said it would be a conflict in interest to release that information to me and that police would come to my job and or home to arrest me tomorrow.

They called a friend of mine yesterday and told her that she owed money from a payday loan that she didnt pay back and that they would be at her work the next day to arrest her and that it would cost her an additional 8000.00 in fees to take care of the matter they were rude and hateful to her it  was a forein speaking man he literally had her in tears thats how legit they sound he had all her personal info her social,address,work place and even her drivers licence number its just so scary what lengths they will go to, to mess up someones life and try to steal from them what a shame thanks for posting this site she felt so much better after i told her about it

I got call today at my job saying they were from Collins law firm saying I have 3 charges against me. I asked what the debt was and he said American Cash. I asked who the debt was with and he could not tell me that information or date of this debt. I was also told that an investigator would be coming to my job and I would be arrested and go to jail. This man was very rude and threatening.

I just recived a phone call from these people stating that i owed over $8000 in attorney fees then the guy proceed to ell me they were sending the cops to my house i said go ahead id have my attorney and a pot of coffee ready for the cops i tried calling back but they kept hanging up on me and wouldnt give any information about the account in question

Today minutes ago I thought I was going to have a heart attack I got a phone call from Dwayne. Mc Guide " the Collins. Law firm" ( 615) 326-4026 saying I had a old pay day loan(American Cash)  that was deposited into my bank of America account. And gave the last 3 digits of the account number I was so upset. And I asked for documents to be mailed he then became very rude. And threatened jail time. He went on to say they were sending police to my job. I asked how much was the debt in question. He couldn't tell me. And said the police would have all the information when they lock me up. I paused I live in pg county if I was being sued I would've received a summons, any way I googled collins law firm the number was different from the caller,I spoke with a very kind lady who insured me the call didn't come from her office and did tell me that there is a scam going on. And to Google the number and take it from their I'm so glad I stumbled over this site! Someone should really do something about this.

Received a call from this same number on Friday.  They treatened to have me arrested for an outstanding debt of 600.00 if a payment of 300 was not made within the hour. It was an Indian-sounding man who was extremely rude.  When I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, I was put on hold  for a very long time and finally a Mr. Ryan Coleman came on the phone.  He was equally rude and informed me I would be put in jail for an unpaid debt and wouldnot answer any questions as to the account number, the original creditor or if emails or certified mailings had been sent to me concerning this matter.  While I was explaining to him that his tactics were illegial and unethical, he hung up on me.  When I called back, no one would answer the phone.  Finally after about an hour of continiously calling, someone by the name of Dwayne McGuire answered.  When I asked for the physical address, he would not give it to me.  

I just recieved a call from this number they know where i work and says they are going to put me in jail tomorrow

I received a call today saying I was going to be arrested tomorrow.  Said they had an affivdavid that I am being  charged with 3 serious crimes. People need to get a life and a job instead of scamming people
