- ARDRepeat calls showing up on caller ID from this number. I have been getting them off and on for months. Most occur when I'm at work, so I've never had an opportunity to answer, and now having read these other comments, definitely won't.
- KLRPReceived a call today from this number. After answering with a "Hello", no one said anything in return. I could still hear that someone was on the line and I said "Hello" again. Still no response. I hung up the phone and called this number back. A recorded message came on and said that if i received a call from them, it was the firefighters association, to please leave my number. I left a detailed message indicating my number and that I am on the DO NOT CALL list with the government and they were to remove my number from their call list immediately. I also told them I was going to report their number for soliciting a number on the do not call registry.

- JLI had numerous calls from this organization and someone gave me the number to stop it and it works. The woman to speak to is Michele and her number is 615-889-7250. Good Luck!!!

- Clyde Long replies to SarahThe [***] will not get anything from me, especially if they hang up or don't answer you in the first place.
Soliciting for such firefighter funds can be a scam. Who knows what percent the firefighters get? If you really want to help firefighters, donate to your local rural or county firefighter find IN PERSON.
Thanks people.
Coulubia Tn - PhredTN| 1 replyCaller ID said Nashville, TN but the guy who called wanted me to help the Hendersonville, TN Fire Fighters. Yah' - Right. . . . .

- Bill and Lori P. replies to SueI also got the call. They were soliciting to supposedly sell tickets to a benefit concert for an organization for child burn victims called Camp Phoenix. This concert is to feature Restless Heart on April 19, 2009 and tickets are $25 each. They said they send them to you on the honor system and hope that you'll pay. After the first call, a woman called back to verify my address, which I didn't give them...as they already had it and my name. When we hung up I looked up the Municipal Auditorium schedule, which was only through January. I emailed the manager of ticket sales to tell /inquire about this. It's also not on the Restless Heart schedule. Then, I tried to go to a website they gave me, which was nonexistant. Who else needs to know about this?
- Lori PetrieI feel it is important to pass on this information, since I have done some investigating on this phone#. Please read on:
Dear Ms. Petrie,
Thank you for checking the legitimacy of our fundraiser.
Nashville Fire Fighters Local 140 is selling tickets to enhance our community services projects and the welfare and working conditions of our Fire Fighters here in Nashville.
Unlike other organizations who call asking for donations we feel it is better to offer a product for our supporters. This brings them all together at the auditorium for a evening of entertainment while we use the proceeds to enhance our efforts. If anyone ever calls and are not selling tickets it is not us. This is the only manner in which we fund our community Services.
We distribute our proceeds to Mercy Ministries, Red Cross, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Camp Phoenix Burn Camp, IAFF Burn Camp, just to mention a few.
Please feel free to go to our web site http://www.iaff140.org and see who we are and what we are about. We are Local 140 of the International Association of Fire Fighters who represent over 250,000 members in The United States and Canada. Their site is http://iaff.org.
Below is the community Service page copied from our site. The address is http://www.iaff140.org/comm_serv.html

Again, we encourage everyone to come and enjoy the shows so as to enable Local 140 to continue providing to these worthwhile charities and endeavors.
Also we feel that by doing so we are giving back to the community in creating jobs for the callers, the stagehand workers, entertainment, only to mention a few.
We also at no time want anyone bothered who does not wish to be called.
With this said thanks in advance for your inquiry and if you should want to be removed from the calling list please let me know and I will have your name removed.

PS:
November 20,2007 Local 140 with the much appreciated cooperation of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center donating the space on their site erected a Fallen Fire Fighter Monument to honor our fallen brothers and sisters of The Nashville Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services within our great City. We conducted a one year anniversary dedication ceremony this last November 2008. In the years to follow this yearly ceremony will be conducted on September 11th to honor our fallen brothers and sisters who have given the ultimate sacrifice. This monument project was approx $115.000 and in no way would we have been able to do so without the support of our fundraiser project.

Subject: question about legitimacy of fundraiser
Mr. Conquest,
You may already know of this, but I received a call tonight from
"Nashville Firefighters Association, 140", claiming that there is a
benefit concert you (and he mentioned you, specifically) and the
local 140 are having, featuring Restless Heart, on April 19, 09. It
is to benefit child burn victims and is to be held at the Municipal
Auditorium in Nashville. I've read many variations of this story,
including a benefit concert next month.
Is this legitimate?
Thanks,
Lori Petrie - John Q. PublicFile a complaint with the Tennessee Division of Consuler Affairs, 500 James Robertson Parkway, Fifth Floor, Nashville, TN 37243-0600. They will acknowledge and investigate your complaint. The company that makes these calls is Fireco, LLC in Franklin, TN. Last year they used the number (615) 361-0195 but this year they change to (615) 515-4779. You can mail your complaint or do it on line at www.state.tn.us/consumer.

- Rock replies to CFiremen don't have any balls
- Jason KeelerOver the past 6 years, I have attended a few of these concerts. They are real shows. They will verify your address and send the tickets to you in the mail with the receipt for you to send back your donation. The Restless Heart show is $25 a ticket. You can usually purchase them the day of the show at the Municipal, however I do not know if there is an extra charge. The years that I have declined the show, the callers were very understanding and did not continue to bother me. I think this is great that they offer a show for your donation. The Mark Chesnutt show was incredible.
