Received harassing calls asking for my wife.  When I asked who they were, He stated his name was "Bruce."  I asked "Bruce with?"  He said with his self.  I again asked who he was,  He said don't you remember i already told you.  He was being rude and sarcastic.  So I told him if he was going to be rude he was not going to talk to my wife.  He then told me to "go get her."  I said no, and he said he would call back.
He called back the next day and I answered again.  I could tell this was the same voice.  He asked for my wife again,  I told him if he was going to be rude then no.  He said he had never called here.  I asked him his name and he said  uhhh Bill and told me again to go get her.  I told him to Kiss my A** because he was being rude.  Again.  He called right back and MY wife asked who he was.  Turns out he was trying to raise money for the Highway Patrol.   Not a very good way to go about this.
Will never donate to the THP again!!!

Got call from said number 1:15 pm. Was woke up from a sound sleep, answered phone, and got hung up on.
Tried calling number back with resulting rings, answer , and expected hang ups.
Considering reporting number for harrasment issues.

Scumbag hangs up. Maybe someone will take them out of their misery.

the samerhings just happen to me today just 10 mins ago but first it was a lady and then it was a man and they both hung up on me i kept calling back no answer then they picked up and hung up so i figured it was some b/s stupid f@&$@$

Just received call from this number from murfreesboro, tn on my new comcast voice phone number that has only been active for a couple weeks and has no phone hooked up to it yet. Prank callers or wanna be scammers. Calling the local police dept non-emergency to report so they can track and call the number so it stops for others hopefully.

Same thing here. Over and over and over. What can be done?

Just got a call from this number I said hello he said ....grady I laughed and said no he then started his spill about the thp collecting bears and asked if we still wanted to donate I told him if we donated anything it would not be over the phone due to so many scams......he was silent for a moment then continued on with his spill so I just hung up

I have received the same calls for my husband. They are extremely rude.

5-20-15 ' let machine answer, no message, i get rude calls from t.h.p. about once a year begging 4 $ , waste their time and mine, i always let my generic answering  machine answer, then check on the computer, to see, yep pure BS!!!

This guy calling from this 615-617-6869 needs to be FIRED immediately....Harassing Derogatory Tone....HOW EXTREMELY RUDE HE IS!!!!  He said "Calling in support of children for the STATE Troopers?"  Do they know that?  Wouldn't be the guy I wanted representing my organization.  He's making St Troopers inadvertently get a bad reputation and people want to do the opposite of support......this can't be real!

I do NOT answer calls from #'s I do not recognize, so haven't experienced the "State Troopers" Scam I've just read from other potters.  It IS a scam, as I've just found an article out of Nashville, stating that the Troopers, being a State Agency do NOT solicit dollars via phone calls.

Further, this recommendation from the same article:  Consumers are encouraged to report possible scams to their local police department or contact Consumer Affairs toll-free at 1-800-342-8385 or visit www.state.tn/consumer.

We have given auto correct too much power and control over our lives. The PC forum spelling and grammar Police Patrol will be asking for a pay increase or they will be calling for a work slow down on insults and degradation of people's dignity.

I just got a call from this number and I have no clue to who this man is, He asked for me and my husband asked him who he was and then he was very rude, wouldn't tell us who he was, He told my husband to go get me and I don;t know whom this person is. He said he would call back. but it was 615-617-6869.

Tennessee Highway Patrol calling??????    Posts say collecting for THP?     Folks if you want to give money to the THP or anybody give directly not through phone solicitors as they keep  80% to 90%  or more of the money and make a nice living doing so.................not on my dollars.    Years ago around Christmas time this guy would stand outside all day by various stores and dressed in a Santa suit and ring a bell and claim he was charity soliciting and my wife saw him one evening picking up this stuff and then pulled out a WAD of cash that would choke a horse and then got into his OUT OF STATE auto, must be driving a minimum of 60 miles from stateline to my town, notified store managers and they found out he was NOT affiliated with any charity and was making easy untaxed money and a lot of it........word was put out and he was never seen in my state again.     Beware they are coming for your hard earned money!!!!!!

The call I received from this number was solicitation for Children's Cancer Fund, it was a woman and she was very persistent. Said she would send me a package of information and that I should donate at least $7.50.  As to the name it was "unknown".  Today I called the number back (615) 617-6869 and a man said to leave a message, but the message bank was full.  It all felt like a scam.

I'm copying this from my facebook page. Sorry didn't want to write it out again. It's good you can't truly reach out and touch someone like the old AT&T commercials. Because I would have been [***] slapping this guy who just called me a few minutes ago. The number was out of Murfreesboro 615-617-6869. He's called here several times each time asking for a Madison, and I tell him that he has the wrong number. And then he has said well I will call back at a better time, before I can tell him the obvious, that even if he called round the clock, no Madison lives here. Today, he calls yet again. So I ask to be removed from his call list because he has the wrong number. Then he straight out accuses me of being a liar. And saying I truly am Madison. I say no, my name is Kelly and it's been Kelly almost 40 years now. Then he says in a smart tone, so when did you get this number? So I yell at Ashlyn to help me with the answer, and I tell her I've got a guy in the phone calling me a liar. Then he hangs up. I tried to call back. I wanted to talk to this guy's boss. But the number won't even let you leave a voicemail. So anyway that's the story. Grrrr!
