I just got the same response from this guy....

Strange email considering it's regarding fine art. Thanks for posting this, it really helps those that are honest sellers to not waste their time

This stops them right in their tracks...  

I have had severs scam emails from CL... I sell a lot of antiques on there... When someone can't come to meet me directly or has an excuse like they are out of town, I thank them for their interest, then tell them the following:

When dealing with people that can't come to me and view the item for sale, but still want to buy it, I use ESCROW.COM to complete the transaction.

BINGO... no more emails from that person...  I hope this helps and that you are all safe from scammers... Good luck!

Yeap, just got the same email regarding some antique chairs I was selling on craigslist.  I will use the escrow.com..thanks Jim Jensen.

Thank goodness for Google! This guy just did it to me! Responded exactly as you folks have described to my Craigslist listing. Offered to send the certified check...out of town...movers will pick up...
But instinct said nope. So I Googled him and it brought me here.

I responded with the Escrow.com and hope to never hear from him again.

Samething happen to me, thanks for posting all this or we all could get scamed.
