Junk telemarketer call. Received a call from this number on a business line, let it go to voicemail. Recorded message about "customers wanting to call business like yours". Blocked it.

Got a call from this # no message

Called my phone, left no message.

Just called my phone, left no message.

Answered, no one there. Blocked now.

To Lori - How do you get a text to your landline and what did it say?

Never answer unknown numbers and this one called at 9 am. Called back with *67 and recording said press one to be placed on a do not call list - that was it - no other message - just dead space. I'm SURE they WANT you to call back so they've go you calling them AND when you press 1 you are probably consenting to MORE calls!

TOTAL SCAM and that's why everyone above said no one there when they answered the call - they want you to call them.

If everyone stopped accepting any offer that came through telemarketers, they would not exist
If they are offering it you can find it yourself cheaper with better terms

I am on the caller no call list. Reverse # indicated that this is a robo call from a telemarketer

I think what Lori meant was that the call allegedly came from a land line, not that she got a text on her land line. But even Lori's assumption could be wrong, since numbers and names on caller IDs are most often faked by scammers.

If you are on the Do Not Call list, the call you got was most likely from a scammer, a criminal operating from overseas. Legitimate telemarketers will not call you if you're on the DNC list. It's too risky and would cost them too much in fines.

There is a clear distinction between (legitimate) telemarketers and scammers who are not bound by the DNC list, by virtue of not being in the US and also being crooks.

Google scams switch numbers every day. Trick is to try find out who gives them the phone number to begin with. (full circle if they are using Google Voice) It is just sad, there are so many out there, that will do anything they can to make a dishonest buck, and relentless try to do so. I cannot imagine what sad poor person they will find them self some day...

FOLKS - STOP answering these unknown calls from unknown area codes - they are always CRIMINAL scams!!!
NEVER call them back.  If you do, it is very likely that they will sell your number and/or use it in their next round of spoofed CRIMINAL calls.
They called - their call was blocked by our Di*it**e Call Blocker.  We have over 250 area codes blocked and we add one or two area codes each week to our ever growing list.
Purchase a blocker if you can - check out Amazon.
BTW, being on the DNC list or having an unlisted phone number means nothing to these CRIMINALS.  These CRIMINALS use predictive (automated) dialers that dial every number within an area or within an area code.  They can dial thousands of phone numbers per hour.

It is a game to them. There will always be scammers -- or "con men", as they used to be called. Always. It is more important, IMHO, for everyone to be aware of them. It used to be that one simply never gave money to a con man. Nowadays, you also have to watch out that you never give out personal identity information.

Con men never feel regret.

Am so tired of these telemarketer calls.  Am on both federal and state dnc lists.  Fcc doesnt do anything so its a joke to the callers.

Got a call on 27oct15 3.02pm on home#. Caller id shows "CHARLOTTE TN" and "615-671-3045". robo-call about search engine optimization.  I've recvd 5 other calls from "CHARLOTTE TN" and "615-671-3047" which were either no-message-left or were for 'business loans'.
