Called but did not leave a message

Called my workplace, which is an attorneys' office in Indy.  Mentioned Greenwood, Indiana, which is in another county.  When I mentioned the caller had contacted an attorneys' office during the work day, he began hesitating and stammering over his words.  This leads me to believe it was not a legitimate call.

Registered a call from this number on my home phone (registered as police assistance) and did not leave any message

Caller left no message.

Said that they were collecting money for families of police officers that are killed.  I was heading into work when they called and said I didn't have time at that moment to talk to them.  Instead of asking when would be a good time to call back they just hung up on me.  Suspect a scam.

called house phone. asked to talk to Darlene, told him nobody by that name. he hung up

Called at 20:06 and hung up immediately upon the phone being answered.

They called and didn't leave a message.

Called at 3:02 pm, 1/29/2016, Indianapolis area. Registered Police Assistance, didn't answer because it was an unknown area code and looked suspicious. Caller left no message. Sort of scary to see that title on caller ID.

I recieved a call from 614-674-4151 "Police Assistant" - When I answered, they hung up.

Call rang, no one on the other end, happened several times.  Suspect scam.

Called but no message left.- I always write these off as a scam.

Same as the others that received this call. Hang up when answer machine picks up.

If you talk to this/these guys, ask if they
are "sworn?"  Sworn means they have sworn a law enforcement oath and are truely police/state/federal  officers.
Usually  they  bail  when you ask this.
If not ask which jurisdiction were they sworn into.
I pretty much guarantee  they'll hang up.

This is a scam to get money from well meaming civilians.

Just called caller ID said Police Assistance, well you don't live near me so,take your scam somewhere else

"Police Assistance Fund" called me 1153, claimed to service the Police in the county I live "providing money to families of fallen officers" A very appealing tactic but unfortunately for them I am married to a Police Officer. I questioned the girl on where her company was based, she replied Las Vegas but quickly added..."we serve all counties in TN". I asked her to name one county, she couldn't, she stammered, the phone went completely silently, she comes back on and wishes me a good day before promptly hanging up. Definitely a scam organization, please use caution!

Received call from Police Assistance, phone number 615-674-4151 (Nashville, TN area code). Also received a call from Police Assistance on 3/4/16, phone number 865-335-0466 (Knoxville, TN area code).  Both numbers put on call block.

Police Assistance on Caller ID. Asked for "Stormy Night."  I get repeated calls asking for "Stormy Night" which is obviously bogus, and it has been happening for at least 2 years now.  They are calling my work place in Oak Ridge TN, and I hang up on them every time.  At first I was trying to figure out what they wanted, and they were saying it was a private matter for "Stormy Night" and wouldn't tell me anything else, so I just started to hang up whenever they called.  This number needs to be investigated for criminal activity in my view.  Thanks.
