Got a phone call from a number that I don't "know" or recognize.
I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.
    They left no message.

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List,
and have been for over a year now.
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)

    I'm going to http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
    AND to https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
and see if that can get the government
to work for me, and stop these calls.
(Yes I will go through all those steps.)
(I have also bookmarked these URL's.)

I, too, receive calls from this "phantom" caller!!!  I want to know who it is so that I can file a complaint!!!  Surely, they are evil as they lurk behind darkness and hide in the shadows.  Gutless, rude, scandalous beings!

Just got this one today, goes into the blocked calls bucket on my phone. Great to have this website so I can see if a number/call is legitimate or scam. My understanding from some other posts is that most of this scam calling using a technical way around the Gov't Do-Not-Call legislation. Foreign scam operators buy access to make calls through local exchanges in US. These local exchanges for hire are the real villains in undermining the intent of the Do-Not-Call list. Perhaps the fcc can limit or shut down these operations. That would sure help curb all these robo-call scammers.

Just got call and they actually left part of a voice mail, something about lowering my interest rates.
They said to hit 3 if I no longer want to be considered. I dialed 3 , will see what happens

I have been getting these types of calls from spammers wanting to help me reduce my credit card interest rates.  Since I do not have any cards I knew this was a scam.  I press the number to speak with someone and then yell as loudly as I can and hang up.  The first 4 or 5 times I asked to be removed (they hung up), I asked where they got my phone number (they hung up), and I asked which card they were referring to (they hung up).  Yelling at them and hanging up at least makes me feel better!!

I get calls from these people at work all the time.  It's always a recorded message that says there are no problems with my card.  I don't have a credit card, and the one we have at my job isn't even registered to this number.  It's through the owner who lives in another state!  I'm really annoyed that they continue to call.

This number called my cell just after 5:00.  I've gotten to the point of not answering numbers I don't recognize, and especially out-of-state ones.  Caller ID says this one is from TN.  No message left.

I got a call this afternoon and pushed '1' to speak to somebody because I have zero credit cards.  When I asked if I could speak to a supervisor, they hung up on me.  Tried calling back to see what was up.  I, too, am on the nationwide no-call list.

Words cannot describe how much this pisses me off.

Received a call from them earlier today. Did not recognize the #, so cancelled the call to allow it to go to voicemail. No message left. Then, just a little while ago, received a call from another unknown # 561-404-0254. Haven't had this much spam/scam calling activity in awhile or maybe ever. Related? After the recent 561 call, I did the same thing - cancelled call and wait for a possible voicemail. Almost immediately I received a text message instead. It only had the # as 5614040254 and no other info.
