I received a call from this number. When I answered they didn’t speak and hung up later. My caller ID showed "Teddy Bear"!?!?

I've received unwanted calls from this number also.  It also had been showing "Teddy Bear" on the caller ID.  This evening the caller ID showed this same number but reading THPROA.  No message is ever sent, but I sure am getting tired of whoever it is calling.

THPROA (TEDDY BEAR) tennessee highway patrol association asking for donations to help fund the officers retirement fund. Dont do it. it's probably a scam...

person didnt identify themselves asked for the woman of the home when i asked who it was said if she was there so i said this is she and the person hung up... annoying

I've gotten several calls from these people as well - even though I'm on the DNC list.  I just got Comcast's phone service, and was immediately slammed by telemarketers - upon doing some research, I found out when you sign up for Comcast, they sell your new phone number to the whole friggin' world.  Unless you like being bothered 10-20 times a day by people trying to sell you magazines and crap, avoid Comcast.

I got a call from the same # a few times this time I answered.  They ask for me personally.  And went on to ask for donations to help abused children when they are in situations such as domestic violence...etc. to donate some money for teddy bears that the Highway Patrol keep in their vehicles.  I told him I was not interested. He came back with a smart a** remark "So, 'mam...you don't want to help abused children?  I told him that was not the case and I would find another way to donate.  Pretty insulting if you ask me.

This is a legitimate group raising funds in Tennessee for a good cause. However, there is an 800 # associated in order to have your name removed from their list and/or report rudeness, ect. as well as if you call back the 615 number.
