    Our family continues to receive collection calls from Verizon Wireless for a man that must have given our land line number as a contact number. Regardless of our attempts to make Verizon Wireless (or who ever is making these calls!) stop calling us, the calls keep coming. We can't persuade the caller that we aren't harboring the person they say they're calling for.
    Either that, or the whole thing is a scam. No matter how you look at it, this is a nuisance.

    It's verizon message center.  I hate verizon, they have the worst customer service in the world, I will ditch this company as soon as my contract is up.  BY far the rudest people ever, you think you were calling a prison.

    This is not a telemarketer, it's a legitimate collection service for Verizon Wireless. It's really easy to get these calls to stop coming to your cell phone. Ready for the answer?

    Pay your past due bill. Yes, it's really that simple. Seems they start this automated calling when you're bill is 15-20 past the due date. And, if you want to never receive calls from this automated "reminder" service again, pay your bill By or Before the due date. There's a perk to paying your bill on time too...no late fees. Yes!

    Stop calling the wrong people when informed that they have the WRONG NUMBER and stop calling those WHO HAVE PAID ON TIME and should not be receiving collection calls in the first place

    These sons of [***] call at all hours from like 6am and sometimes at after 10pm. I answered once and there was nobody. Now I just don't answer. Either way, they should leave people alone.  I have verizon but I am not past due so what they want I have no idea.

    I just Received a call from that 5mins ago.     Its true,  its a call for collections.   When no one responds on the other end...........    they are actually recording your voice.  I have a Family member that works in that Department for Verizon,  and thats what i was told.   Next time they call....   answer your phone in a weird voice.  i'tll make them stop.   lol.    or just pay your Bill.

    The truth hurts huh? Own up to your mistakes and pay your bill. True I got the phone call then I paid my bill whatever. I am man enough to say i was late and got the call.. Deal with it. I did. Its not always someone else's fault.

    this number kept showing up on my daughter's phone. If it is verizon that's fine - we were a month past due and it's been taken care of. But what is really irking me is that they're calling my 13 year old's line and NOT the primary phone number on the account (my husbands). Or, at least, say something rather than just calling and hanging up!

    If it's "manly" to act like a sarcastic little [***] on the internet then I think the word doesn't mean quite the same thing it used to mean.  The information had already been satisfactorily presented and many of the posts were due to calls being received by people who do not even use the service.  If it makes you and the original poster feel superior to harass others about how they handle their finances, then all I can say is you should either find a more worthwhile hobby or go ahead and have the enlargement operation so that you no longer feel the need to last out because of your insecurity.  I know these subjects are difficult for "manly" people like you guys to talk about, but there's really no shame in admitting your... shortcomings.  Good luck!

    you are wasting your time trying to convince these collector trolls to stop posting their "pay your bills" drivel.   Yes most of the postings have stated they are calling the wrong number - it does not matter to these idiots.  They do not care WHO pays the BILL - just as long as someone pays it so they EARN their COMMISSION.

    They refuse to acknowledge that they are doing anything WRONG or ILLEGAL.  or worse - TRYING to JUSTIFY their ILLEGAL actions by blaming the innocent consumer that does not owe them any money at all.

    they just called my phone twice in a row. I am not a primary person on this account. I am the account holders daughter. I also didn't answer and that is why I am at this site. It makes no sense that they are calling me and not the account holder. also how am I supposed to know what this is if they do not say anything.
